Last Christmas holidays we spent 3 nights at this resort.||The location in absolutely unbeatable for a Inle lake stay.||It will be the most quiet spot around , cause the motorboats are not allowed to enter the resort area. That is a real blessed thing, because in high season the noise and pollution of al the boats is not very relaxing.||This place looks and feels like a little tropical island with the most extra ordinary tropical vegetation all around.||We choose to stay in on e of the lake houses, nestled into the green with a fantastic view over the waters. Most beautiful sunset ever, sound of birds and animals everywhere. The houses are very original style , very huge with a lot of taste designed. In the cold winter evenings they will make a colefire in your room.||Bathroom could be better, and it all looks a little tired and worn out.||There was only a shower outside, and in winter the evenings are very cold,||so that was a minus. And why not put some plants into the shower?||Now it was a cold muddy place. But of course you are at a very authentic eco resort. that is true, but the price is far too expensive.||Specially in High season. But this is quiet normal in Birma!||Breakfast served on the lake terras was fresh and fine.||Diner at evening inside the restaurant was perfect. the whole atmosphere of the bar and restaurant is a dream!||New Years Eve, wonderful calm and tasty, no big Party Party! What a blessing!||We felt like Catherine Deneuve in the movie : Indochine !!!!!||Service is great, very pleasing and extreme friendly.||So , all over, I will absolutely recommend the place! ||In high season too expensive, but............ ???||Do not expect a bling bling Dazzling 5 star resort, but a small discrete and wonderful little tropical paradise! And don't forget to visit the Spa !!!||Thanks! For a really wonderful and relaxing stay Princess stay!||By the way the whole Birma trip was beyond imagination!||||Warm regards Igo van Hoof and Stefan van Loock...
Read moreWhen you arrive by boat, the place were the hotel is located in a small private bay is just incredible. It looks like a small paradise. It is very quiet. The boats have to stop their engines. We had a room along the water. The room was very nice and with a beautiful terrace. ||The negative points were the following:||||1. We were at the beginning of February and it was very cold in the room during the night and early the morning. The hotel installed a very small electrical heater and it was totally insufficient. An another night, we ask the hotel to heat up the chimney. It is also insufficient and the smell and the smoke are very disturbing. So we did not sleep well.||||2. The towels of the bathroom were very old and damaged. This is really not normal for a hotel of the price class.||||3. The dining room is much too large. There were only a few guests in the hotel (beginning of the corona crisis in China) and we felt completely lost in this big room.||||4. The service was kind but not very efficient and not personal. We did not see any director of responsible.||||It is probably the best hotel along the Lake Inle. But we get the impression that this hotel is suffering financially and not investing any more.||It is a little a pity to see a hotel which is not using completely its possibilities. Perhaps it is due to the crisis of the tourism in Myanmar.||||But it should not prevent you to go to the Inle Princess Resort because the location is fantastic.||The Lake Inle is just a jewel !! And the images of these villages on the water will stay in your memory...
Read moreWe stayed here for 4 nights in a "Lake House" (nr. 110) which is one of the villas having lake view. The room is over 50 m2 in size. The bathroom featured a bath tub and an outside shower (which we didn't use). We requested twin beds when booking, but this bed arrangements could unfortunately not be guaranteed at the time of booking, but we took the chance and luckily got it, probably because it was a quiet season (end of January). One thing we had NOT anticipated, and had not read anywhere in any of the guide books beforehand: it was very cold at night (some 5 degree centigrades) and in the early mornings (breakfast time). Only after about 10 AM the sun slowly started heating up until about 5 PM when it (again) became very cold. The staff filled-up the fire place in the room with sufficient briquettes for the whole night, and staff already started to light it around dinner time. Very comfortable beds, with musquito netting. The breakfast and the (optional) dinners were excellent. For wine and alcohol lovers (not us in particular) there is an extensive wine and coctail list. From the dinner menu we always chose for local dishes which were all tasty. Only the last morning there was a breakfast buffet (as more guests had arrived), the other 3 mornings the (included) breakfast could be ordered from a menu. There is a pool area with lounge chairs, excellent for sun bathing in the afternoon, but temperatures were just far too low to heat-up the pool...
