Although it's located just outside of Pindaya, this simple family-run B&B is about as close as you can get to a homestay experience (legally!) in Myanmar. ||||There are other more centrally located options available, but they are A LOT more basic and it's pretty much impossible to guarantee a quiet night's sleep. ||||Furthermore, you don't come to Pindaya for hustle and bustle, you go there to experience the region's natural beauty - Pindaya Farmhouse is perfectly placed for this. ||||The rooms on the top floor have the best views, but the rooms on the bottom floor have access to the pond and garden. I preferred the ground floor room but that'll depend on your personal preference.||||There's no need to venture out in the evenings; the food served here is as authentic and tasty as you'll find in any local restaurant. The Shan noodles served for breakfast was amazing too!||||The family live on site - getting to know them was a highlight!||||The property is simple and needs a little but of TLC in places, but it's by far the best property in the area. ||||If you're looking to stay in the Pindaya region,...
Read moreMy wife and I recently stayed two nights here towards the end of our holiday in Myanmar. The room had everything we needed and was both comfortable and clean, plus the balcony provided a great place to sit and relax towards the end of the day, whilst also watching the birds over the adjacent fields. ||We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Aye-Aye and her extended family, who were also exceptionally helpful. It was as though we were staying in their home. The food was first-class and we enjoyed sampling new local dishes, such as banana flower salad ! It was great that Aye-Aye gave us the heads-up in the morning as to the menu for dinner, so we could refrain form eating too much at lunch !||Overall the peace and quiet of the Farm House was perfect for us and we had no desire to go out in the evening for dinner, given the high quality of the food provided by Aye-Aye. We would thoroughly recommend...
Read moreI had a great experience staying a couple of nights in Pindaya Farm house.||The house is just a few km from town and the famous caves.||It is in a beautiful country setting with a pleasant garden and beautiful Bayan trees nearby.||The family that runs the hotel is incredible nice and friendly and they will do anything to make your stay pleasant.||They did help me a lot as I was unwell with a very bad cough.||I would definitely recommend to stay here if you are looking for an authentic but comfortable enough experience in Myanmar.||People in this area are still very nice and truly open to welcome you.||Be aware that there is no heating in the rooms and in winter can be quite chilly at night.||In the leaving/dining there will be a nice fire at night.||Thank you to the Pindaya’s Farm for your...
