This is one of my favorite hotels in Taungoo over other more expensive ones near the lake. I like the beds better here and the wooden “bungalow” rooms are spacious and homely. My friends say rooms in the two story building are not as nice. Less mosquitoes than by the lake. It’s in the middle of a large compound so even though the surrounding neighborhood is tightly packed there is plenty of well kept space for kids to runaround in. I am a picky traveler and get grossed-out by even most hotels in the US, this one I would rate 4/5 in that department. I just didn’t like the toilet shower combination which seems popular in Myanmar, even in upscale homes. Staff is super nice and they don’t hold your passport, unlike at the lake.
