I booked Spitzkoppen Lodge after seeing glowing reviews from influencers, but unfortunately, I felt the price didn’t match the value provided. While the setting was undeniably stunning, the overall experience fell short of expectations.||The welcome was brief, with little information provided about the lodge’s activities unless I asked directly, and there weren’t many options available. We stayed for one night and two days, which felt sufficient. The restaurant staff was professional, but the food was average—our springbok dish was disappointingly dry.||The rooms were clean but lacked air conditioning, making the daytime heat almost unbearable. Additionally, there’s no WiFi in the rooms—only in the restaurant/reception area—and the rooms are a 5-10 minute walk away.||The starry night sky was a highlight, but we couldn’t see the Milky Way due to both overcast weather and the moon’s brightness—something to check before your visit.||Activities didn’t feel worth the cost. The lodge’s bushman paintings tour departs at 4:30 PM, which we missed. Instead, we visited on our own and tipped a guide at the entrance for a quick 10-minute tour. When we inquired about the sundowner activity, we were advised it wouldn’t offer much beyond the views from the drive into the resort.||In December, wildlife was sparse—we only spotted a few zebras. The heat also limits activities to early morning or late evening. While the location has its charm, the lack of convenience and value left me...

During our round trip in May, we were able to stay at the Spitzkoppen Lodge for two nights. The lodge is a little out of the way, very quiet and the main houses are built against the mountain. The individual chalets are far apart and if, like us, you have your accommodation almost at the end of the road, you have a bit of a walk. However, this was always a nice way for us to get some exercise after dinner. There is also the option of being driven to the chalet in a golf cart. However, we never made use of this. However, you should allow 10-15 minutes if you live further back. The paths are well laid out and there are bridges between the hills with nice photo spots. The chalets themselves are well equipped, but lack air conditioning. But we knew that beforehand and were aware of it. The fan in the room was enough for us. We also had a drive, but we only had it privately. The pool in the mountains and ‘the eye’ are worth a visit. We saw that there are vehicles with at least 20 or more seats, which is probably not so nice. The food was good, as was the breakfast. In the evening, you can watch the sunset from the main building and enjoy a cocktail. The service was great, the staff were friendly and always endeavoured, but never intrusive. Thank you for that! We would choose to stay here again if we were travelling through again. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

This is a must stay. We loved it so much we extended our stay by an extra night. The staff are super friendly, the food is AMAZING and don’t get me started on the room/ tent. It’s truly a unique place to stay, quite and peaceful. The rooms don’t have A/C but do have a fan. The bed is very comfortable, we found the whole room to be very comfortable throughout our stay. The food is fantastic and is a set menu for dinner. Options for lunch and great also some options. The pool is fairly cold but it’s great to cool down in on a hot day.

One of our highlights on the Namibia tour. The atmosphere right at the Spitzkoppe is incredible. The entire facility and bungalows are very nicely furnished. Sometimes there are zebras right in front of the bungalows. If you arrive early, you can see everything in one day, but we regretted only having been here for one night so that we could not enjoy the atmosphere for longer. Dinner is a set menu - very tasty! If we are in Namibia again, we will definitely come back!
