I stayed two nights here (before and after fish River Canyon hike) I was greeted with a lovely vegan meal in my room after a grueling bus ride to Namibia, only arriving at the guesthouse 10pm. The room was fitted with an aircon, type M plug and europlug and had a fridge and kettle (with coffee and tea). The basic toiletry amenities were provided, with an extra feature of earbuds and cotton pads, towels, as well as a blanket. The shower had the perfect pressure with hot water that did not run out. To drink your own bottle of wine you'll be charged R40. Farm produced was on sale with artisan bottled goodies for the pantry. Wifi was fast and staff friendly and helpful. They did get my vegan pizza wrong at first with cheese, however the correction that was prepared thereafter was one of the most palitable vegan pizzas I've had, not too rich and not short of flavour with fresh ingredients. The rooms are directly opposite the car park so movement can be heard from the room but nothing too hectic. The bed was very comfortable.

The location is unexpectedly beautiful. The guesthouse is situated next to rolling vineyards and has its own well attended gardens. The units are clean and have airconditioning. One can enjoy a sundowner before having a stunning meal. The menu is limited, but scrumptious. If there are any dietary requirements, please advise them in advance. Breakfast is included, and should it happen that you want to leave early, before breakfast, let them know, and they will prepare a food parcel for you the evening before. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I thouraly appreciated our overnight stays here. The garden is beautiful, the service is excellent and the beds are comfortable. The friendly staff add to a relaxing atmosphere which was most welcome after the long days of travel. On our first stay, We decided to braai. The staff were so accommodating, even lighting the fire for us! On our second stay, we ordered our food. Their menu is extremely limited; beef steak or chicken schnitzel, but what they do very well. I will be back :)

After a disastrous overnight stay in an establishment further south on the Namibian side, I was most surprised by the warm welcome, professionality and good price/value relationship at the Noordoewer Guest House: Rooms were clean, with air conditioning (warm there, all year), food was well priced (I had the lamb chops, with sweet potatoes, fried onion rings and chips), as well as the beverages. They offered me a breakfast pack should I want to leave early, but I chose to stay for the full (hot and cold) breakfast, which was well presented and of good quality. Staff was friendly, professional and I always felt welcome. Definitely my choice again when I stay over...
