I stayed here twice in early December. Once on the beginning of a tour and then for an additional night at the end of a tour. The property is lovely and comfortable with nice amenities. However, there was an unfortunate incident. Upon check-in, I had to wait a bit for my room to be ready. Once it was, I immediately changed and went out to the pool after putting my valuables in the safe. My bag was on the luggage rack and closed. Because this was around 3pm, I didn't think about putting the Do Not Disturb sign on the door because I wouldn't have expected anyone to enter before I got back from the pool. However, when I did return about an hour later, I found my bag open and a pair of sunglasses missing. I reported this to the front desk and they said a turndown service would've been done (at 3:15pm, directly after cleaning for check-in?). After checking CCTV, they saw who had been in my room, spoke to her, she said she didn't take them and that was it. I was repeatedly told that the manager would speak to me about the incident. However, the manager wasn't there at the time and wasn't there before I left on my trip early the next morning. I was assured that they would send me an email or speak to me upon return from my tour. I never received that email and when I did return, they manager on duty said she wasn't aware of my situation but would look into it and get in touch with me via email. I have yet to receive that email. While the facilities are very nice, in addition to putting valuables in the safe, I would suggest locking your bags and always using the DND sign, no matter the time of day. It's quite frustrating that I never received any communication after multiple assurances I would. It's a shame that this incident soured my opinion of this property. I would...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Windhoek Country Club Hotel, and I cannot express how wonderful my experience was. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine smile from the friendly staff.
The hotel's elegant and well-maintained decor provided a luxurious ambiance that made me feel pampered throughout my entire stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, ensuring a relaxing environment to rest after a day of exploration.
The dining options at the hotel were exceptional, offering a delightful array of delicious dishes that catered to various tastes. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, featuring a wide selection of fresh and mouthwatering choices.
One of the highlights was the stunning pool area, perfect for unwinding and soaking up the Namibian sun. The well-kept gardens surrounding the hotel added to the overall tranquil atmosphere, making it a true oasis in the city.
Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, providing easy access to nearby attractions and key points of interest in Windhoek.
I must commend the staff for their exceptional service and attention to detail. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, and their warmth and professionalism made me feel right at home.
I cannot recommend the Windhoek Country Club Hotel enough. Whether you're visiting Windhoek for business or leisure, this hotel is the epitome of comfort, elegance, and hospitality. I look forward to returning and reliving this...
Read moreI stayed in two different rooms for two nights each. They were both beautifully furnished with mood lighting options.||The bathrooms had nice wooden wide shutters overlooking the bedroom and out to the garden, appropriate if you're bunking alone or with a partner but not with a friend or family member. Weirdly the toilet is in a clear glass cubicle with a heavy door that was annoying to open and close for each use. The shower in one room flooded the bathroom floor both mornings due to the intensity of the flow, non-adjustable direction of the shower head, and absence of drain on the main bathroom floor with a lip preventing backflow to the shower drain.||The first room was in the southern wing and quite cold despite the heater, the second room was in the northern wing and perfect, I didn't need the AC/heating at all.||The food is excellent with a wide buffet or a la carte menu.||Wi-fi was mostly reliable.||There was construction for upgrades occurring during my visits, disallowing access to a small area outside the dining room, though the rest of the grounds appear well-maintained. Banging also started around 7:30am so forget a sleep-in unless you're a heavy sleeper.||Whilst the location is a drive from the city centre, there is a parkrun at the golf...
