The friendliest people out. From the entrance gate to the lodge people. We decided last minute to have dinner and they accommodated us with a smile. We camped, so we can not comment on rooms. The location was ideal on our route to Angola. Our camping spot was within the old stable complex with beautiful green grass and hot water from a donkey. We had all the ablutions to ourselves. The lodge managers went out of their way to make it special for her, treating her like true royalty and going far beyond what we expected (and paid for!). The food, served next to a camp fire under the stars, was apparently "truly delicious". The Otavi valley is a lesser-known (but still very accessible) gem just off he the main routes. Unlike a lot of Namibian tourist accommodation, the rooms and facilities are also affordable to locals (like us)....
Read moreThis is easily the best Lodge near Otavi. It is between Otavi and Tsumeb on a very big piece of land so you have beautiful scenery and peaceful evenings under the stars. The owners (the Brits) are the operators as well. Family run and not corporate. Dinner around the fire in the evening is spectacular with the meal being delicious. They have a great Wine selection with many reasonably priced South African and even a local winery from Namibia. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The staff is fabulous as well. Very accommodating...
