Read moreThe stay at Himalayan Deurali Resort offers amazing, peaceful view of the mountain ranges, but the stay was made less comfortable because of a few facilities that were below expectations.||Positives.|- Stunning views -- The view of the mountain ranges from the room is majestic. It is very soothing and mesmerizing to watch the snow laden mountains turn gold as the sunlight splashes across them. Make sure to catch the sunrise early in the morning. After that bask in the lovely sunlight and stroll around the property.|- Helpful staff -- Some of the staffs are really helpful and will do whatever they can to fulfill your requests.||Negatives(Things to improve)|- Facilities -- There was no hot water in both our rooms. They would spend a lot of time trying to explain or trying to fix the problem, but they couldn't. Eventually they gave us two buckets of hot water. It is very uncomfortable without hot water in the cold of December.|We faced multiple power black-outs of up to 25 mins|.The bathroom and main door would get jammed at times ||- Food and Restaurant service -- The food quality and the menu options need to improve. Several items were not available. It took a long time, more than an hour for the food to be ready.|The breakfast spread was pretty ordinary too. Only boiled egg was offered. We were denied when we requested for omelettes. Although I could see that the omelette was served to a couple of guests and their manager. May be our helper was not in the mood?||If they are a bit more focused towards their guests comfort and improve their food and related services, they can provide a really good, serene place to spend time at Pokhara. Till then, there is quite a few area they need...
0- Beware of Frogs and Insects inside the room as I visited during rainy season 1- The hotel manger Mr Ganesh Gurung didnot pick up the phone while I was with my family searching this hotel away from Pokhara in the late evening getting very frustrated..They should at least give one landline number for communication 2- All the items listed on Menu were not available 3- Room service Reception phone not working and two minutes of walk to order or request anything 4-Wifi was stopped many times in to the room and slow also. However reception area Wifi working fine 5- Prices are very high for such bad facilities hotel 6- Staff supportive but lying many times and excuses only regards to the bad weather. 7- Inspite out request to cancel the two nights to one night they didnt help 8- There are lot of other Hotels in the Pokhara Area main city rather than going for one night stand hotel. Not worth of money 9-Hotel Staff may lie to make money from you be aware. 10- Dont book any trip from here just go to Pokhara lake side area and contact travel agents ther y will offer much cheaper 11- Hotel is very much far from the main city and its not worth of money if you came to roam around the city
Himalayan View on both the sides of Resort is very nice. If a clear weather is there you can enjoy the Scenic SunRise.. But for this you dont need to stay in this Hotel you may come early morning and enjoy the food at restaurent, if availble.. Rooms are good upstairs as both side view will be mountains one side Pokhara City and...
Read moreI stayed at the Himalayan Deurali Resort for over a month. I was treated like family by the owners, Ganesh Gurung and Binda and their families. They did everything within their means to make me happy and comfortable. All of the staff was so helpful and friendly, I would help them gather fruit in the forest and spent many hours with them. I also spent much of my time traveling with Ganesh dhai's brother Laxman bhai. He took me all over Pokhara and the surrounding area, as well as into the mountains trekking to different villages like Gandruk. The views are absolutely spectacular from almost anywhere at the resort. My room was amazing, beautiful mountain stone decor, bamboo ceiling, great view! Great bathroom, stone tile floors, shower/tub with very hot water:) The food was delicious every day and night, they would prepare anything I wanted if it was in season. Especially all their Nepali dishes were delicious. I could eat dahl baht forever!!! I highly recommend staying here if you want to explore the Pokhara lakeside area and the Annapurna area, it's perfectly located to access both. And if you want to stay lakeside for a while, they also have a hotel in Pokhara very close...
