This trek offers the opportunity to escape Nepal’s tourist trails to venture in to the deep forests and roam the high alpine pastures that flank the Annapurna ranges. The emphasis of the trek is on the forest and wilderness zone of these mountains. Some villages are visited on the last days of the trek and these receive few visitors and retain much of their traditional charm. There is an essence of exploration on this trek. The trails we follow are not well used and sometimes hard to identify. Sometimes shepherds and pilgrims pass by. Our Annapurna /Machapuchare trek is designed to provide outstanding mountain views, and to get away from the tea-house trails and into the forests and villages that have not felt the impact of tourism. If you are looking for a fresh trekking trail that offers you captivating views of mountain ranges, rich vegetation and the culture and lifestyle of the ethnic dwellers then this is just the perfect...

Well if you are reading this comment, I would like to appreciate your decision for the Annapurna Base camp Trekking. 👏👏

Now coming to the point, there are very few (~5) restaurants (according to my time @ Nov. 2019).

There will be very limited food choices in these restaurants and no non-vegetarian dishes will be served. Infact you won't get any non-vegetarian dish once you cross Deurali due to certain religious beliefs and Annapurna Conservatory Rules.

One can experience freezing weather at this altitude, so be prepared with your cold gears. (Light jackets but effective ones because you don't wanna get all wrapped up in layers).

The temperature goes down to ~ minus 15-20 degree Celsius at night and can get a bit sunny at the day time.

Anyways Good Luck and have a...

Its hard to describe the experience, it was so beautiful. The view is great, and there are some guesthouses to stay a night or two. Get ready for very cold nights - and when I say cold, I do mean it! We did the trek in october, and it was below -2 degree during the night. Machhapuchhare Base Camp (MBC) is on the way to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), about one and half hours walk short to ABC. We started walk from Deurali after lunch & after walking uphill for nearly three hours we reached the most awaited Machhapuchhre base camp (MBC) at a altitude of 3700 meters. At MBC, food is bit expensive as there are no vehicles to reach and also no mules, hence the people carry the food commodities from Chhomrong to all the way ABC & other places as well.
