Nightmare Stay – Not Recommended!

OMG, this place was a complete nightmare. I strongly recommend no one to stay here. We gave our review before leaving, and the staff confronted us, asking why we reviewed and even demanded justification!

Totally unprofessional. Honestly, it's better to spend just Rs. 1000 more and stay at Kurintar Retreat or Siddhartha—you’ll have a much better experience.

Sorry to say, but I won’t be returning, and I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

Replying Dear Hills n' Horizon Team,

Thank you for your response.

First of all, we did use the swimming pool—two ladies and a child were in it. At that time, some boys were misbehaving. They hit us with a ball once—we forgave it, assuming it was a mistake. But when it happened again within minutes, it was clear it wasn't. There was no staff present to address the issue, so my partner had to step in. Yes, he used strong words, but only in reaction to that behavior—not as any personal attack on anyone.

I am simply writing an honest review based on our experience—not trying to "personally attack" anyone. Regarding the room, yes, we saw the video, but it felt like an expectation vs. reality situation when we arrived.

As for the drinks, if outside food and drinks were against your policy, you had the option to apply a corkage charge—but we were never told this during check-in or booking. Mentioning it now feels more like a counter-argument than policy enforcement.

Concerning electricity—if guests are being charged, proper service should be guaranteed. Saying the generator was "just for you" doesn’t align with the responsibilities of a service provider.

On the topic of food: when the package says "meals included," it’s standard at most resorts to serve buffet or allow reasonable refills. When we asked for a bit more gravy, your staff initially refused. Only when we insisted and it was served—which shouldn't be the case.

Lastly, regarding children—kids under 5 are typically not charged in most places, as they neither eat much nor require extra accommodation. If your policy is different, it should’ve been clearly communicated at the time of arrival.

You absolutely have the right to respond and defend your business. And I have the right to express my experience as a guest. I hope this helps you reflect on areas that can be improved most probably your...

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hills n' Horizon Resort, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. Situated conveniently along the highway, this resort is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service, which continued throughout my stay.

The resort is surrounded by breathtaking hills and offers stunning views of the horizon, making it an ideal retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the room décor, which added a touch of elegance and coziness.

The dining experience was another highlight of my visit. The on-site restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, catering to both local and international tastes. Every meal was a delight, with fresh ingredients and flavors that left me wanting more.

The resort also offers a range of recreational activities, including nature trails, a well-maintained pool, and spa services, making it perfect for both relaxation and adventure. Whether you're traveling with family, friends, or as a couple, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Overall, Hills n' Horizon Resort is a hidden gem that truly stands out among highway resorts. I highly recommend visiting at least once when you have the time—you won’t regret it. It’s a place where you can create lasting memories while soaking in the beauty of nature and enjoying top-notch...

I recently stayed at the Hills and Horizon Resort in Benighāt, Nepal, and it was a fantastic experience! This 3-star beachfront property along the Trishuli River offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and modern comfort. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and come with private balconies showcasing stunning river and hill views, which were a highlight of my stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met with a smile.

The resort’s amenities, including the outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, and lush garden, added to the relaxing vibe. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, with a variety of breakfast options (buffet, à la carte, and continental) that catered to different tastes. I also enjoyed the billiards and the easy access to the river for activities like rafting and kayaking. The free parking and bike hire were convenient for exploring the area.

While the location is a bit remote (4.6 km from Benighāt’s center), the serene environment and proximity to the Prithvi Highway make it an ideal stopover for travelers. My only minor gripe was the occasional slow Wi-Fi, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience. With a 9.2 rating from recent guests on Booking.com, I’d highly recommend Hills and Horizon Resort for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with excellent service and...

One of my seniors recommended this place, so our group decided to check it out. Honestly, we had the best time. The highlight for me was the breathtaking view of the hills and river straight from the rooms. Waking up to that scenery was just incredible. The pool was super clean and refreshing, and the food? Absolutely delicious! Everything we tried tasted great. What really stood out, though, was the service. The owners themselves manage the place, and you can really feel how much they care about their guests. They focus completely on making sure you’re comfortable, and it makes the whole experience so warm and personal. Considering the price, I’d say it’s more than worth it. You rarely get this level of hospitality and quality for what they charge around here. Whether you’re visiting with a group of friends or as a couple, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay. They even have some dumbbells if you feel like squeezing in a quick workout, plus a beautiful garden to relax in. Overall, amazing place, amazing food, amazing people.

Genuine Review ( 2nd May, 2025) Explored this place by viewing others review from google map. The food was extremely disappointing from packaged snacks to items like chow chow sadeko, butter chicken, Mustang aloo, and chicken sadeko, nothing met expectations in terms of taste or quality. The pool was dirty and poorly maintained, making it unusable. Staff behaviour was unprofessional when we raised concerns about the food, we were told, "Other people haven't complained." This response felt dismissive and unhelpful. Suggestion: Please don’t ruin others’ holiday experiences. Serve food that is tasty and worth the price. Hire a qualified chef who can deliver quality meals and maintain better hospitality standards.
