Bad hotel, bad staff, bad place to be. Please dont visit it.The room itself was an absolute disgrace. The photos on the website must be from a decade ago. The furniture was old, scuffed, and covered in what appeared to be dust. The carpets were filthy with multiple deep-set stains. The bathroom was the worst part; the toilet bowl was visibly stained, and the shower had mold along the grout lines. It was so unsanitary that my wife refused to take a shower. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud and failed to cool the room. It just blew out lukewarm air and made a constant rattling noise. We called the front desk to report the issues, but no one answered the phone after multiple attempts. When we went down in person to complain, the night manager was rude and unhelpful, simply telling us they were fully booked and could not move us. This hotel is a health hazard and a prime example of false advertising. The staff is incompetent, and the facility is a wreck. The money we spent here was completely wasted. There were cockroaches and lizards in our room. We checked out the next morning feeling more stressed than when we arrived. I genuinely would have preferred to...
Read moreLes terrasses is definitely my new favorite hotel in Nepal! Everything is perfect. The buildings are really beautiful and high-quality, surrounded by a beautiful garden full of flowers. I loved the lovely terrace with an awesome view on Gaurishankar mountain area. The rooms (and bathroom!!) are beautiful and fully equiped with everything we needed. We had one with a huge private terrace and a classic double, from both we were able to enjoy the awesome view from bed. This is magical. We went to the hotel after a 2 weeks trekking and it was the most perfect place to rest and relax! The staff is really caring, helpful and very nice ! They offer really tasty food as Dahl baht, chowmein, momo and many European dishes. The breakfast was awesome, with fresh homemade bread and jam and many items!! The best part for me was that the hotel supports an NGO for childrens at risk in Nepal (they do a really great and important job) and offers training to young people...
Read moreOur stay at Les Terraces was absolutely fantastic. I came here with my wife and my parents.
The hotel rooms were wonderful. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The view of the Gauri Shankar range was breath-taking. The surrounding area was peaceful. It was really nice also to visit the farm, and to meet the boys nextdoor, who were lovely.
Above all, the staff and service were amazing. Gunja was a funny and wonderful host. All the staff were so friendly and lovely. Brihaspati, Sabita, Mohan, Nawaraj, also Samir and Amin - they were so nice and welcoming.
It is close to Kalinchowk, for those that want to visit the temple and see the magnificent views of the Himalayas, from the Gauri Shankar range (possibly also a peak of Everest's shoulder?) all the way to the Langtang and even the Annapurna range on a clear day.
It is such a great initiative to support. I can't recommend staying here enough. I definitely...
