Joy Source Resort is a peaceful and inspiring place to stay in the Himalayan hills near Pharping, Nepal (about 5,000 feet above sea level). The resort is part of Crystal Earth Community and sits on five acres of organic farmland, where organic vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, and fruit are grown and flowers bloom in quiet corners. It’s an honest, down-to-earth setting that lives in harmony with nature.

The cabins are warm and comfortable, each one a little different. With big windows, wooden interiors, and cozy beds, they work well for solo travelers, couples, families, or groups.

The resort is part of Crystal Earth Community, a community striving to transition from sustainable to regenerative living. Guests are nourished with farm-to-fork organic meals, cooked with care and intention. It’s a place to rest, restore, and regroup, a quiet space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect through nature, silence, and simplicity. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, creative time, or just space to breathe, Joy Source offers a different kind of stay, one rooted in presence...

Joy Source Resort is one of those rare places where even 5 stars don’t feel enough as it truly deserves 10. Beyond the beautiful cabin I stayed in, with a stunning view looking at the Himalaya and Everest fully immersed in nature, everything was impeccable: the cleanliness, the family-friendly atmosphere, and the delicious food produced right on site from their own zero-kilometer farm.

But what makes this place truly extraordinary is the heart behind it. Dayan and Sures, the wonderful couple who own the resort, have been helping the local community for over 25 years. They founded and run the Dolphin Magic School, where 207 underprivileged children receive a quality education and real opportunities for a better future.

I bumped into Dayan a year ago in KTM and instantly sensed I needed to visit their resort at some point. It took a year for me to return to Nepal and I now had the chance to spend 4 incredible days in this hidden mountain paradise! It's not just the incredible views, luxurious cabins, fresh mountain air and amazing, fresh local food (+excellent coffee and even korvapuusti that we Finns cherish so much!) that blew my mind - it's the loving, tight-knit community that makes it such a magical place. And it's only a 1,5 hour drive (+about 100 or so steps!) away from KTM!||Thank you for the inspiring experience, I'm in awe of all the joy you're...

Perfect place for relaxing and to see nepalese culture outside Kathmandu. Great view of Himalay mountains. The food is best ever. I wish I could cook as tasty vegetable foods. All the staff is very friendly and ready to help you. The place is tidy, comfortable and very beautiful, but you still can see real nepalese culture.
