Marpha Palace Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in the heart of the beautiful Marpha village. Centrally located, it’s just a short walk from the historic Marpha Monastery and the iconic village streets where many popular Nepali movies have been filmed.
During our tour to Muktinath, we booked two rooms in one of their cottages for our family. The rooms were clean and cozy, though quite basic and lacked amenities like a TV. We also felt that the pricing was a bit on the expensive side considering what was offered in-room.
That said, one of the best things during our stay was the bathroom facility—especially the hot water, which was reliable and much appreciated in the cold weather.
The common areas of the hotel are amazing—spacious, beautifully set up, and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the peaceful vibes of Marpha. The calm atmosphere, mountain views, and apple orchards made the experience even more memorable.
The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help. With a few improvements, this place has great potential. Still, Marpha Palace Hotel is a lovely spot for a peaceful and culturally rich...
Read moreUnfortunately my stay was extremely noisy, people talking and slamming doors late at night and early in the morning in a way that shakes the wooden building if you get put in there. There was also a dog that wouldn’t stop barking the whole night either. The next day I asked to reduce my stay to 1 night, checkout and get my money back for the 2nd night, instead they moved me to the main building promising quiet. I got woken up again this time by a large group right next to my room having a party with music blasting that started at 8:30pm. I’m not expecting silence at that time and 8:00 is early to go to bed I know but they had dance music on loud speakers. As expected the owner said it would end ‘in less than an hour’ which it didn’t and was full of rowdy guys who were all drinking. Just dishonest owners and behaviour all for the sake of making an extra buck out of you.
The people who work here seem nice, the rooms are fine, although shower could have been warmer, and the location is great. I have also heard excellent things...
Read moreWe were very happy with our stay here. It was still very quiet in the season and unexpectedly cold but the hosts were happy to put heaters on just for four of us in the evening and for breakfast. The rooms were the nicest we had stayed in for many days post trekking the Annapurna Circuit. We took standard rooms which included quality bed linen, own bathroom with shower. The water was warm not hot so important to take the shower earlier in the day. During the peak season we could see this place really humming with a good vibe. A shame we were early but we enjoyed our stay. As others have mentioned, the rooms are more expensive than other villages but included a simple breakfast and no obligation to take dinner but we did. Food was cheaper than higher up so ended up being pretty good value for what we got. The village...
