I stayed with Temba and Chairingdolma on the way up and on the way back while I trekked and climbed in the Langtang for a month. It is a small place just up a bit from Langtang Village where many people stay, but I highly recommend walking the extra bit to stay with them. Each room has a 3/4 bed and a single bed. There is a western toilet and the shower is HOT. Chairingdolma cooks delicious food, and friendlier people you would not meet. Also they have wifi there now, though like anywhere in the valley it only works when there is electricity. Nepal is regularly without power!||Temba acting as my guide/porter was much better than booking with a tour group.||I would highly recommend him. You can probably contact them through the booking site. Or you could try his phone. +9779741458670 but phones in the Langtang can be off and on a bit. If you want mobile phone while trekking you should try to get a "Sky" sim card. Not easy to get but they do work best at the higher altitudes anywhere in Nepal.||The top end of the Langtang has the most amazing views, and if you do a day walk up to the top of Kyanji Ri (4,300m) the views get even better.||If you want to experience the real Nepal, contact them at Me Very Happy Guesthouse (isn't is a great name!)||ps. I know why they are very happy - Temba, his wife and the three kids survived the earthquake, though some of the wider family and the old...
Read moreThis is a must stay spot if you ever trek in the Langtang Valley! The owners Temba and his wife, Chhring Dolma, are the most welcoming people you could ever meet, I have never felt more at home when staying at their tea house. They also have a coffee bar which is a treat when you're in the alpine. They have a shower that has hot water which not many other places have, and you also get to enjoy a shower in a room that is built out of rock that overlooks the beautiful Langtang Valley. We also used Temba as our guide through our trek and he made our trip even better than we could imagine. He was so knowledgeable about the area seeing he is a local and we learned so much about the Valley, way more than if we were to trek solo. I could not recommend his guiding service and their tea house more. They are the reason why we...
Read moreTemba and Tshering Dolma are two of the kindest and most generous people we have ever met. We stayed at their very comfortable guest house for multiple nights, and Temba was our guide on a 10 day hike though the Langtang Valley. The guest house is very clean and comfortable, with a hot shower. The food was amazing! They make the best momos and Sherpa Stew. Temba was our guide and was so knowledgeable about the region. We achieved summits over 16,000 feet and we couldn't have done it without his guidance. Having a guide who was from that region made all the difference, as he knew so much about all the details we needed for our trek through that area, as well as the history of the region. We would recommend the Me Very Happy Guesthouse to anyone visiting the area, and we miss our friends...
