It is surprising to have a nice infrastructure on the top of the hill in Shermanthan. It's a pretty big building with nice view of Melamchi river. It has a good parking lott and spacious place for living and dinning. The place can be used as a gateway for Gosaikunda and Langtang National park and Himalaya and also Aama Yangrima. It is located in a beautiful village called Shermanthan. It is located 2700 m above sea level and feels pretty cold even during summer and rainy season and snows during winter. The lodge can provide shelter for 25-30 people and have common dinning hall with glass view towards Melamchi. Big dinning hall has sofa and chair options to sit and pretty spacious and also has billiards to play. They also serve local stuffs like local mushrooms, potatoes, popcorns and breads and taste local. They also provide map and pics of major attraction of that place. It seems like they grow some of the organic local vegetables around their field. Overall it was a good experience staying at Snowfall mountain lodge and would have been better to have a good road access especially during...

The rooms were comfortable, and heating pads available on the bed. The dining area is huge and spacious, and a pool table available too.
The food, made with locally sourced ingredients, was really good, although watch out since cold may desensitize your taste buds.
The staff were super hospitable, and their service ensured that our stay was comfortable and made us feel welcomed.
Overall, this would definitely be the place I'd stay at again in the the area. Side note: Due to the direction the resort faces, and the hill is the eastern side, you cannot enjoy the...
Read moreMy time at Snowfall Mountain Resort was a great experience. Originally, we had intended to stay for only a few days but ended up staying for 3weeks. We were made very welcome by the Lama family who run the hotel.
We were able to observe the various trekkers who passed through and they were all very happy with the service. Particularly excellent was the variety of organic foods available.
The people of the village were also very friendly and would invite us to their houses at every opportunity.
The rooms were clean and airy and we were very comfortable.
I would highly recommend a visit to Sermatang if...
