Baba Ko Dhaba - Hotel in Janakpur — Hotel in Lakshminiya

We went to the place after learning that a good new restaurant has opened in the vicinity of Janakpur. However the overall experience reminded me that the "Janakpuriyan" mentality of people here has not changed.

We were a total of 12 people who walked into a somewhat empty restaurant on a Saturday evening. We asked to be placed inside one of the three cabins for some privacy to which we were told two of them were busy and one was reserved for guests arriving shortly. To my surprise the owner of the hotel knew one of the members in our group and immediately opened the cabin for us that was supposedly filled with guests.

The very first impression that I had was people still need to know people in order to get good service which is not what I expected.

Then the food was overcooked and drinks were served after appetizer. Maybe the people here want their drinks after appetizer but the norm is drinks first then appetizer then main course. Maybe they could use some training.

I asked the waiter to get us some ice since the water was not cold enough. He mentioned they don't have ice. Really? You made an investment so huge and couldn't afford an ice machine? I told the waiter that I was hoping to drink some whiskey but since they have no ice I would skip. He immediately now said they have ice if i wanted whiskey. Seems they are not service oriented.

The French fries that we ordered were overcooked and momos were filled with a lot of "garam masala".

I would not recommend this place to anyone as it seems it is nothing better than any of the other substandard restaurants around this area. Why travel outside the area if you are getting the same lousy service which you...

I visited today with my three colleagues for Lunch.i insisted my colleagues to go there for lunch and they agreed. We had ordered for very simple meals.. The quality of food and service was not good While making the payment at the cash counter there was minor changes had to be done and the same was done by the person there. But the whole mood was spoiled when the person from cash counter started misbehaving. My colleague was sharing his feedback with the cash counter guy but he started arguing with rather than buying the feedback. The cash counter guy said to my colleague that you forget the service just pay and go....I was really disappointed with the whole episode there..

I thanked him for spoiling my mood and left the counter..

I was shock when I came to know that the person from cash counter was no other than The son of The owner Mr. Mishra and he was feeling proud of misbehaving..He was not at all feeling sorry for his misdeeds.. My request not to take granted the...

I would give this hotel a 0 if i could. The receptionist was super rude and was trying to fight with me. I order 2 veg thali and 3 chicken thali. I didn't get ghee with it so asked for it but the ghee was cows so i didn't use the ghee. While paying i saw 50 rs added to the receipt for the ghee and let me tell you, I have never ever payed for ghee in any hotel. EVER! I told him that this is literally scam and then he dot so rude and aggressive and flicked my hands multiple times. It was like he was ready to fight.
