Well, it's difficult to write a negative review but at the same time it is important as a reviewer to bring the correct picture to the fore so that others can make the right decision, unfortunately I cant say the same for other reviewers here because I did not get the correct version of truth, I'm sorry guys. I think it was just one good gesture from the hotel staff that made you hide the details from others. In fact, after the discussion I had with the owner I also softened up a bit but that cant take away the fact that I had a terrible time at hotel Raj darbar during my 1 night stay. Yes, 1 nights! You may want to know why I spent my entire vacation there despite being highly dissatisfied? My answer is simple just because I did not want to make more mess of my holiday and take the hassle of changing, seeking refund for an online booking and making the situation even worse in an unknown city which I visited for the first time and which is infamous for all the wrong reasons as much it is famous for its goods and goodness. Honestly, hardly ever a day was passed when we didn't discuss exploring other options... Coming back to the hotel- Wrong advice - before the booking I called them and asked them if the weather was warm enough to book an AC room but I was told I can do without it in March but when I reached there it was horribly hot and humid much so because of the location where the sun beats your windows all day. Reception - there is no professionalism and keep this in mind throughout my review as I wont mention this again. When we reached there a guy was there to pick up our luggage but withe a dead face, no smile on anyone's face, no courtesy at all topped with an audacity of being proud of telling what they can't do for the guest plainly. In fact one of the guys of reception had no issue in passing a racist comment. Service - the entire 'service staff' is full of i*ts, some clearly coming from an uncouth, uncivilized backgrounds having no education of any kind. You ask them to do something and they will show you a face you wont dare to ask them to do anything again. In fact I had to ask the reception not to send a particular guy to my room ever again. Having said this, an old worker called Murti was good and had no issue in changing my TV multiple times, that's another story to tell below. Service is terrible and if you ask them to buy anything from the market which include food as they don't have anything in house they'll charge 15% service charge flat. Meaning, give them a lot but don't expect any...
Read moreThis was, hands down, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had in my life—and trust me, I’ve never seen such chaos in the name of hospitality. The place is filth incarnate. The bedsheets were stained and smelled unwashed, the blankets had actual lipstick marks on them (disgusting beyond belief), and the broken kettle in the room was just a cherry on top of this garbage sundae. But that’s not even the worst part. Since it’s an OYO room, the hotel was full of drunk, noisy, and obnoxious guests in nearby rooms—smoking, blasting music, shouting like they were in some shady bar instead of a hotel. It felt unsafe and completely non-family-friendly. And the staff? Rude, untrained, and flat-out careless. Not only did they serve us the same bland dinner two nights in a row, but when we politely asked for even a little extra, they coldly refused, saying it was a “fixed thali.” Breakfast was another scam—our package said “multiple options” but all we got was one item shoved onto our plates like we were begging. Worst of all, there was this extremely disturbing moment when one of their servants barged straight into our room without knocking, while my entire family was inside. He was searching for a stupid matchstick box they had apparently left in our drawer. Even after we told him not to enter, he completely ignored us, walked in, and rummaged around like it was his own room. No apology. No shame. Just straight-up violation of our space and dignity. The overall service was pathetic, with reception ignoring calls and the restaurant staff losing their temper the second you called for help—honestly, their whole attitude made it seem like we were the problem for expecting basic service. This place is a walking red flag—unclean, unsafe, and staffed by the most unprofessional people I’ve ever come across. Stay away from this hellhole unless you want...
Read moreWorst Hotel Ever. Please avoid.|This hotel in Janakpur was a complete disaster. The bedsheets were dirty, the blankets had lipstick stains, and the kettle was broken. The fans didnt work in several rooms. Guests in other rooms were drinking, smoking, and being extremely loud all night—definitely not a place for families. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. Our package clearly mentioned multiple breakfast options, but we got only one item every day. Dinner was repeated two nights in a row, and when we asked for even a small extra item in the thali, they denied it strictly. The worst part? One of their servants barged into our room without knocking, while my whole family was inside, just to find a matchbox they had mistakenly left in a drawer. Even after we told him not to come in, he ignored us and entered anyway. No respect, no apology. We kept calling reception and restaurant due to bad service, and they were getting angry instead of helping. Overall, it was a horrible experience. This hotel is dirty, noisy, unsafe, and should not be allowed to host guests. Please do...
