Annapurna cottage and tented camp — Hotel in Madi

Annapurna Cottage has got a perfect location and setup. If you are lucky and the clouds clear up, you get to enjoy the breathtaking view of the beautiful Himalayas. The outdoors sitting area offers a serene space to enjoy your meals along with a scenic view, and the sleeping tents closely simulate a comfortable camping experience.

The owner of the place, Bhupal Gurung, is a friendly and helpful guy. Do not hesitate to ask him about nearby tourist attractions, transportation, guide, local culture, food or any other issues. He is well-connected to people, so he is able to make any kind of arrangements for you. He kindly arranged for transportation and guide for our trek. Not only that, but he was thoughtful enough to pack us a lunch for our lengthy trek and called us a few times during our trek to check on us.

Lunch (traditional Nepali thaali), breakfast and masala tea were all delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff! The young lad was humble and painfully shy - he wouldn't accept a tip that he truly deserved for his extraordinary service.

My overall experience at this place and Tangting was so enjoyable that I kept teasing my friend: "I love this place and would like an early retirement. May I stay back, and you return to Pokhara alone?" Please do yourself a favor - plan a trip to Tangting and stay...

It was a great experience in Annapurna cottage & tended camp, Tangting, Madi. Warm hospitality & friendly environtment from Mr.Bhupal Gurung, owner. Really cooperation from the heart, amazing views from the cottage room that feel the nature closely. Delicious & local taste on the food was always in the mind. I would definitely wish to come back again to feel the nature and such a warm hospitality. I really recommened to visit the Tangting & Karpu Dada. Amazing place with good food, well managed hospitality service and enough space for you to fool around. Never thought the owner of the hotel where youre staying would be your guide himself and take you through the mesmerising view of the sunrise, the magnificient view of the himalayas and serve you hot cup of tea and fresh baked cakes and doughnut on the top.
