This is where we always stay during our business and leisure trips to Pokhara. About a 15-minute drive from the city, this hotel is located on the way to Sarangkot. You can enjoy great views of Pokhara on your drive up to the hotel. With a fresh welcome drink and friendly smiles, we instantly feel welcome when we get there.
The first thing you will notice is the beauty of everything around you-the hotel, the premises, the swimming pool, the landscape and the awesome views. The hotel is beautiful. It is updated with modern amenities and services. The rooms are spacious, clean and serviced regularly. The staff are welcoming, friendly and polite and the service is flawless.
When the weather is good and the sky is clear, the rooms offer remarkable views of the Himalayas- it feels like you can almost touch Machhapuchre. The views are not just limited to the rooms; they are visible from the bathroom too so you can enjoy a nice warm bubble bath with splendid views of the mountains The sunrise from the Earth Watch Lounge is incredible. Watching the marmalade hues of sunrise falling on the snowcapped mountains while sipping on a hot cup of coffee is phenomenal-a perfect treat to the mind, body and soul. Tea and coffee are complimentary for hotel guests in the Earth Watch Lounge.
The food at Summit Restaurant inside the hotel is very good too. My personal favorite is the Chicken Stroganoff and Chicken Sizzler. Among cocktails, my favorite is their Tequila Sunrise and Blue Lagoon. I also like the breakfast buffet. When it comes to buffet meals, I find that a lot of hotels in Nepal focus more on quantity than quality. That isn’t the case with Himalayan Front. Although, they have a limited variety, all the food items are great. I love their croissants-warm, soft and yum!
The infinity pool is clean, well-maintained and makes for perfect for photos for people like me who are passionate about photography. You can also order drinks by the pool and chill while you swim. There is also a cute little garden by the pool where you can take a walk or take more pictures!
Another thing I love about this hotel is their super comfortable mattress. It is one of the best among the hotels we’ve stayed in, in Nepal so far. We have stayed here quite a few times and their service has always been consistent.
If you are going to Pokhara and want to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city, Himalayan Front is definitely the place to be. Highly...
Read moreHotel was very nice with the great mountain view, although the service was not to the standard of KGH at all. We paid such a huge amount to stay at the hotel keeping in mind of mountain view and the the hotel being the part of KGH but unfortunately the patriarchy runs in the hotel. Most of the staff does not know the what the word hospitality meant i barely saw a smile on ANY OF the staff's face. They were polite when spoken to only, never approached us if we needed any kinda help. Please find the following feedback. Did not felt welcomed. Staff did not felt the need to ask for room escort or concierge help with the luggage. Only provided brief info about breakfast and room location. Wooden floor was damaged, a Huge hole was there right next to bathroom door. Breakfast was limited but okey, hashbrown felt like mash potato with some spices. we requested for the late C/O till 1PM but granted for 12:30 and was given the excuse of making the room ready for next guest. THE WORST EXPERIENCE WAS THE DAY OF C/O WHEN AN ELDERLY STAFF APPROACHED US WITH THE RUDE ATTITUDE BASICALLY SAYING "DO NOT FOOL AROUND AND CHECK OUT OF THE ROOM AND THEN DO WHATEVER YOU DO IN THE PROPERTY (we did CO on time). HE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY TWO OF OTHER STAFF AND THEY LAUGHED AS HE MADE THOESE COMMENT.
WE WOULD HAVE NOT GIVEN SUCH FEEDBACK BUT WITH THAT RUDE ATTITUDE AT THE END OF OUR TRIP ALOMST RUINED OUR VACATION. STRONGLY SUGGEST THE MANAGEMENT TO GIVE A VERY SERIOUS THOUGHT ON THE HOSPITALITY/CUSTOMER SERVICE ASPECT OF THE YOUR HOTEL. IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES PLEASE LEARN TO RESPECT DOMESTIC GUEST AS WELL. I hope to see some...
Read moreDisappointing Stay at Himalayan Front HotelI recently stayed at the Himalayan Front Hotel by KGH Group, and I regret to inform that my experience was far from satisfactory. The first major letdown was the view from our room. Contrary to the stunning vistas showcased in online photos, the actual scenery, especially from the lower floors, was underwhelming. This clear discrepancy between expectation and reality was a disappointing start to our stay.Furthermore, the hotel's location poses significant inconvenience. Nestled in a remote area, it lacks accessible transportation options. The hotel offers a shuttle service but only at restrictive times (9 am and 3 pm), which is hardly sufficient. Resorting to a taxi is the only other option, but be prepared for exorbitant fares that add unnecessary expense to the trip.Another aspect that failed to meet expectations was the dining experience. The dinner buffet, priced at $15, was average at best. The options were limited and did not justify the cost. Additionally, the coffee served at breakfast was a letdown. As a coffee enthusiast, I found it lacking in both taste and quality – it did not live up to the standard of what one would typically expect.Overall, my stay at Himalayan Front Hotel was marked by a series of disappointments. From misleading representations of room views to logistical challenges and subpar dining options, it fell short of providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I would advise potential visitors to consider these points when making their...
