I had a very nice experience at Pema Ts'al Guest House. Booked for 2 nights and ended by staying for 6 days. The hotel is right next to the majestic Pema Ts'al Sakura monastic institute and I could partecipate to the morning prayer ( at 5:30am circa) and that was the main reason I decided to stay longer at this incredible place. There were several celebrations at the time of my stay that gave me the opportunity to learn a little bit more about Tibetan Buddhism. My room was big and clean, the view from my huge window was spectacular. Mr Renzin and his team were very gentle and kind. I had bottles of water and a a kettle in my room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the window high on the wall was kept open , so it was a bit cold in the evening and mornings. |There was a cafe downstairs that served very fresh and nice hot lemon ginger honey drink and delicious cakes. |I was also invited to go for a local hiking with one of the Monks, nicknamed James, a lovely person happy to offer his time with us❤️.|Unforgettable experience. I hope to be able to come back one...
Read moreI am staying there every time that I come to Pokhara. The Guest House provides a quiet place outside of the busy tourist quarter of Lakeside. The rooms are clean, modern and well-equipped. The beds are very comfortable and hot water for showering is available. The restaurant and café are cozy places to have quality coffee and a range of food. The staff is friendly, speaks several languages and answers to all queries immediately. Services such as the booking of taxis or busses and doing laundry are available. The beautiful Pema Ts'al Sakya Monastery at the doorstep of the Guest House will leave an impression on your life. Exchanges with the monks on Buddhist philosophy are offered upon request. The Tibetan Camp with traditional restaurants and handicrafts as well as bungee jumping and zip line activities are close-by. The view towards the snowy mountains of Annapurna and Machapucharé is stunning. It is always a pleasure...
Read moreThe rooms are beautiful (most comfortable bed and spacious room I’ve ever had all to myself on a trip in the mountains!) facing the snowy mountains on a clear day, with fresh Nepali-Tibetan food every day, 24/7 WiFi if you need to connect to the outside world, and super helpful staff if you want to arrange for adventurous trips, quick $4-5 taxi ride to the lakeside if you want to go zip lining, mountain biking, or shopping for beautiful clothes, bags, artwork, or trekking supplies. The monastery gates are right next door to the guest house, where you can participate in morning temple, meditation or yoga classes, even learn Tibetan or Nepali. If you stay at the hotel, you’re also supporting the monastery and the free education and home that it gives to children, which is a...
