Hotel Hillside Kanyam — Hotel in Suryodaya

The bad. The floors were dirty, the walls were dirty, the ceiling was dirty. The bed sheets were inadequate for the weather and were dirty. The bath room was full of mud and the toilet was dirty. The shower gave us 10 minutes of cold, followed by 5 minutes of hot then back to 10 minutes of cold not what you want after traveling back from the snow. Also the shower was positioned over the sink so you have to bend your back sideways to get your head under it. They only supplied one towel for the double room which of course was dirty and stained. We asked for 2 more “clean” towels, the 2 we received had black oil looking stains. The lights on the front of the building shine directly into the rooms making it hard to sleep. When we went down the awkwardly small stairs to have dinner there was chicken poo in the middle of the eating area.

The good. The staff were friendly, the food was quite tasty, the price was good, the location is picturesque and very convenient.

Conclusion Would be a nice place if they improved the showers and cleaned the rooms properly but as it is I wouldn’t...

I went to a trip to Illam with my family and stayed int his hotel for a few days. The first room we went to was not at all clean and was very dirty but the staff politely accepted our request and moved us to a new room. The food here is nicely priced and not bad at all. There is an option of campfire as well which we did and was very awesome. We even tried out VR for the first time here which was very interesting, the staff gave us a hefty discount as well.
