Bed and Breakfast Den Bosch — Hotel in 's-Hertogenbosch

I booked to visit friends and arrived late, having booked the accommodation as this was all that was available for my visit.|The first thing I noticed was a very bad smell as I walked up the stairs, which permeated into the bedroom when i opened the door. |I decided to go to bed as I was tired and was woken at 5 in the morning by someone getting breakfast for half an hour. The bedroom door offered no resistance to noise and is situated poorly for a good night sleep. Then other people got up and used the kitchen too, so only got 5 hours sleep. This happened again the next morning.|When I drew the curtains back, there was a metal roller.shutter half way down over the windows blocking half the light out which didn't move.|I got dressed and bent down to tie my shoe laces and noticed plastic wrappers, crumbs and dust under the bed. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for 6 months.|The last night I went to bed at 10.30 as I had a triathlon the next day and people in the communal area/kitchen were laughing and joking around, so.i went out to ask them.if they could be quiet, but they weren't. Then the owner brought some more guests in and was talking loudly showing them tomtheir rooms. I texted him about the noise as it was his running of the place and organisation of the rooms that caused the problem. He just said that was just how b n B's were! |The tea ND coffee facilities in the room were pathetic, with old sugar cubes and tea, but no coffee and super small cups.|I booked a 4* hotel room in Eindhoven the next night for the same price as this one, so don't waste youroney on these rooms.|The owner was all smiles until I complained and then tried to pass it off.|Spend your hard earned money at...

Our experience couldn't have been more different from the previous reviewer - we found this place quiet, clean, welcoming and well equipped. ||It was small, certainly, but well laid out - although it would be worth mentioning in advance if stairs are a problem for you since they are quite steep. It's in a suburban district, which is clear from the map, but there are three buses an hour until midnight if you are not driving/cycling.||The breakfast isn't that cheap, but was plentiful and nicely presented and there is as much free tea and coffee as you want 24 hours. I was visiting someone there so perhaps I missed the reception and restaurant side of it. The side I saw was a set of lovely rooms with a shared living area and shower/toilet. The photos posted are of one of the more luxurious suites with an en-suite bathroom which had a big tub. The rooms are furnished simoly but adequately.
