We stayed here for 2 nights - the restaurant was fabulous, with extremely delicious food (highly recommend the cheese fondue & pumpkin pancakes, but all were amazing). Service is quite slow, mostly at night, but with a relaxed atmosphere and nice view we didn’t mind that much, just be careful if you are in a rush to go anywhere after eating here.

Room was nice enough (queen superior bedroom in the main house)- spacious, but somewhat dusty and dirty although all of the important things were cleaned (beds, floor, main bathroom area). Our shower was broken, but it was fixed fairly quick the next day when we told the staff. The wind is extremely loud because of the location on the island, although i think it was worse when we were here due to some weird weather, and they do provide earplugs. Pool area sometimes has a weird smell to it, but is nice. Lobby is gorgeous and relaxing, staff is very friendly and helpful.

It is quite out of the way, which is very relaxing and peaceful, but just be careful because rides to/from many downtown tourist spots can be expensive. They offer pickup and dropoff from the airport for $30USD, which was very convenient, but i recommend a rental car if you plan on doing any activities that don’t pick up from the hotel (although there are...

I was a hotel guest for 9 nights. Interesting enough I was able to occupy both categories of rooms. The garden room and the bigger ones in the main building. Both were absolutely ok for the cost.

I know some reviewers call the rooms a little simple, but I wonder what they expect.

The upstairs room "sit" in the wind, the trade winds blow over the island, the hotel is on a high spot and you are going to hear the winds. I am a super.lught sleeper and found it actually quite soothing. Not everyone is like me. The Garden room is absolutely silentm

You have a spacious bathroom, functional ac, a variety of fresh towels, toiletries, a fridge, a coffee maker with a assortment of coffee and teas and a tv, there are tables and chairs too. I don't get what is missing.

The food is great, not cheap (but what is cheap today) and what I tried was always fresh and good.

The view is stunning, see my picture.

Most of the personal, that includes Arendt (spelling optional) are super nice and very helpful. Some of the personal aren't always that friendly but I get it. Lots of changing faces every day and it's not always easy to deal with guests.

Will come again.

Stayed two nights at this historical boutique hotel.

We were a family of three staying in the Queen superior room, which is very big and has an amazing view. As it is quite windy most of the time you will hear the wind howl very loud in the room due to the windows. Sleeping with earplugs will solve the problem, just be aware. But we loved the deco and the way the hotel has been restored.

The outside pool area needs a lot of work. It does not look very appealing anymore. Shame as it could be very beautiful. Also the smell in this area is not very nice.

We had two meals (breakfast and dinner) and also in between drinks. Some was really good, but some had a taste like it was a bit too old or something. Maybe not as fresh as it could be. Coffee though was very good. Late afternoon/ evening waitress was lacking some enthusiasm. Very hard to get her to smile and she had trouble understanding our English hence we had several misunderstandings with what we ordered.

But the view from the terrace and room was absolute stunning and this really made up for everything. I would come back just...

I did not sleep in the hotel, just visited the restaurant, but it is situated in a lovingly renovated colonial villa on one of the most beautiful spots of the island. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and at night you sit under a million stars, as it is far away from the citylights. It has a lovely little pool and the service is so friendly. I am sure a stay at the hotel will be super romantic, if you appreciate the vintage "luxury country home" style. You are close to some "hidden" natural beaches. Asknfor directions, bring your own food and maybe even some bubblea and you will have an amazing experience, away from the crowds.
