Overview|A lovely caravan park. Great facilities and lots to do. I booked through Europcamp.||Location|The caravan park is in a rural location, it's near a lake and woodland, but there is lots of parking and good roads too.||In terms of exploring the area, it's a bit tucked away from the main roads, but is still doable.||It's a big park, and the location of our caravan was not far from reception in a quiet area. Trees have not long been planted, and in a few years it will look lovely.|Once checked in, access is through key fob entry (before that you need to ring the buzzer), exit is the same.||Check-In / Communication|Reception is open normal hours, although there is out of hours for emergencies. The receptionist are very helpful and speak brilliant English.|No issues with check-in. |I raised an issue that required maintenance. This was dealt with quickly although did not fix this issue and I had no update. But we worked out a way to manage anyway, so I didn't report it again.||Facilities & cleanliness & comfort |Caravan - was very clean, and comfortable. It was in a quiet area and parking was nearby.|The beds were comfortable, although only 2 of us in a 5 berth caravan.|Kitchen had microwave and hob, oven and was clean a d well equipped. Enough crockery/ glasses/ cups for the people staying.|Bathroom had shower, good water pressure, clean. No problems. |Separate toilet.||Indoor swimming pool - looked clean, decent size. I didn't use it but seemed popular.||Onsite restaurant & takeaway - doesn't do breakfast but has a decent menu. We didn't use it though.||Camping showers & laundry - again not something we used as we had a caravan and was only there a short while, but useful to know it's there.||Bikes, scooters - a wide range of these for hire. ||Electric car charging - there are 4 chargers (I think) some by the swimming pool, some by reception. Reception were not aware of the details of the chargers, but after some searching I established that In the Netherlands they use "TAP electric" app, which shows these chargers. These particular ones (at this time end April 2025) are €0.70 plus 10% connection fee.||Summary |A lovely area, lots of activities to do.|Lovely...
Read moreWe were staying here Monday to Friday travelling from the uk via ferry. When we booked we said it will be a late check in as we had to drive from the port. When arrived no one was there to greet us only a sign on the door of reception saying our key was in our caravan. We had no information pack this would have been good to leave it with the key. The site is extremely quiet the bar shuts at 9pm!!! And it doesn’t open on a Tuesday night (which was our first night) it’s takeaway food only with someone there serving hot drinks but no beer or wine absolutely pointless. The entertainment for kids is terrible we have two boys 7 and 12 and they only did 1 activity each. The pool is UNSUPERVISED!!!!!! So kids bombing in every 2 minutes and no parents to be seen either. With all the lakes in the Netherlands we thought we could hire a boat this seems impossible and the staff at reception didn’t know either. ( they tried to google it which I had already done) The park has bike hire, indoor pool ( no slides) a few play areas for small kids and 1 table tennis table (outside)and that’s it!!! Due to the park being by lakes and sitting water the mosquitos were on another level!!!!!! We swatted about 50 in our kids room alone every night!!! We have the most bites we have ever had around 30 each it’s absolutely terrible. You can’t get away from them it’s a serious problem.!! And we had bug spray and candles. On a whole I can safely say ( writing this review at the port) we will never...
Read moreBeautiful area, and lovely quiet site. A shame that the summer season ends immediately at the end of August, we arrived on September 2nd and many facilities were closed, on site and attractions in the area. With water all around there is a problem with insect bites, but that is unfortunately to be expected. The accommodation (classic) had everything you need, cooking facilities better than expected, very basic and bedrooms/shower room very small. Biggest criticism is the fact the seating area in the accommodation was uncomfortable, made out of soft-play (wipe clean) material and the table didn’t fit well so you had to climb over to sit on one side of it. Would return to this site but would likely opt for higher standard of accommodation. 11 play areas on the site which was really nice. Free bikes for small children and bike hire on site. Reception were very helpful. Information booklet is detailed and useful, plus we were given information on how to order takeout from the on-site restaurant and how to book boats to hire. You can order bread in the evenings for collection the following morning, which is lovely. All in all, would return, would choose at least Comfort level accommodation and would go back in summer season when all...
