EuroParcs Resort Zuiderzee — Hotel in Dronten

We rent 1 of 4 mobile homes, which has a good location, next to the beach. Though I have read reviews about this place and now what to expect, I did not read the reviews in Trip Advisors about this (my fault). Actually the mobile home is quite nice IF they were (well) maintained. ||In one of our 4 mobile homes, the last rental did not clean up the sheets as they should so we had to contact the lobby about this. And there was water on the floor, leakage? In all homes there are stuffy, sweaty smell as if they never opened the window, let alone clean them. In 3 out of 4 homes the couch in the living room are dirty, with marks of fluid on it. Hopefully it was not organic... I had to open all windows, doors and sprayed the rooms with air freshener while beating the cushions and the duvets. All things came out of them, especially for the duvets: dust, hair... in one of the bedrooms was a broken drawer, I made a picture so we would not be blamed for that. ||The kitchen was OK, simple, you have all the basics. Too pity we had to wash everything once again because the smell of the china’s (especially the mugs) were like somebody had did eggs in it. ||The person at the lobby were helpful and friendly, yet the could not do lots of things. ||The play area is small, swimming pool not big and too much chlorine. Even the toddler pool was closed because of too high concentration of chlorine. There were activities program and there was a laser game scheduled. We informed hours beforehand whether we had to register or not and receive a relief answer of “No need, just be there up to 15min before.” That night, 30min before the game started, we showed up and there were already 20 children disappointed because they were late. Only 15 children are allowed. The whole area is for children, it was during summer vacation, there are only 2 laser games for the whole week and this is how they arranged?? Our children were very disappointed and had to choose another not-so-many options. ||So, for a (long) weekend, it is OK. Better find another home if you can afford it or maybe better: another resort. I think the price is too high for what you get. A simple home is enough as long as it is clean. If you drive there, better to do your groceries outside the resort, there are supermarkets not far from there. Once again here? For us, not anymore. The children? They had a wonderful time and that’s what this...

During our stay a lot of things went wrong. The staff which is not responsible for the problems was really friendly and helpful to us, but the staff which made the mistakes don't care about it.||||We booked a chalet / deluxe camper for our stay and left 25 per Person. After check in we got the wrong key, and the assigned camper was in use! To clarify this it took more than one and a half hour. For the new assigned camper we got a Key, but they upgraded it to electronic keycard, so we were not able to open it and have to complain again. The staff opened the camper for us and we noticed that it was not cleaned properly. There was rubbish in- and outsite the camper which was left there for a longer time, so there were lots of insects there. Then we changed again, got a new camper. We noticed that this one was also not cleaed by the staff when we got it. The was rubbish under the bed which we noticed when putting on the sheets. Dishes were not clean, there was some food left in plates which where stored in the kitchen area. It seems nobodby checked and cleaned this after people check out. Later on we noticed that a similar camper comes with a welcome package (sponge for cleaning dishes and so on), but there was nothing placed in our one, this means that we got the camper uncleaned. As the checkin procedure took nearly 3 hrs. and it seems that it can't get better, we decided to clean it by ourself.||||The camping site itself is really beautful and big, but common areas are not very clean, as I mentioned the sanitary areas are not maintained very well. ||||After checkout I want to complain about our stay at the reception. But they did not care about it, they just said "oh, .. ok,.. bye". No sorry, nothing. ||||The review is based on my experience made at the 28th may 2016 and my opinion. If you use your own camper or tent it may be okay here. But if you rent a camper for lots of money you may get disappointed. As I can see here, I'm not the only one complaining about the cleanlyness. ||||Some campers are not easy to find, as the signs were fallen down.||Most of the staff won't speak english or german.||We shurely will not comeback...

Family vacation (group of 5 adults and 3 children) to this this place for 2 weeks. I would not recommend this place for anybody who doesn't speak Dutch... Absolutely NO information in English or Deutsch. The staff was not really helpful with translating their event program, so our children didn't attend any events, because we didn't know what, when and where. |We stayed in 2 comfort mobile homes and paid over 3000€, let's put it nicely and say that the mobilehomes have seen BETTER days... They are old and need to be replaced or have a really serious makeover - so don't expect any luxury.|The air cushion in the playground didn't have any air in our whole stay ( 14 days)... Our children were very disappointed.|No soap in the public toilets. |The staff in the beach club didn't speak any English or Deutsch.|Some of the staff in the swimmingpool were very rude with bad attitudes... They were not very serviceminded and forgot it were children they dealt with. |And the locker room area in the swimmingpool was a complete joke... NO possibility to shower with our your bathing suit - as it was Common area. When people was entering the locker room, everybody outside could look inside - so no privacy. And if that wasn't enough - grown men entered the ladies locker room!!!||The only things that actually saved our holiday were the swimming pool, the indoor playroom, the playground and the beach. It wasn't a vacation that the adults enjoyed very much - our children grateful. But as adults that know the price of the vacation, we are SO...
