Located in the woods near the city of Venlo, right at the German border, this hotel is quite fancy. Not the big city type of fancy or anything super luxurous, but more so than any other nearby place. The facilities are great and the food is nice, though nothing special. You can relax at the lake, or play a game of tennis at the outside court, but the one thing you should do is take a stroll through the woods and the nearby national park (see photos).

Vi bodde här, två personer, en natt på vår resa söderut. När vi anlände restaurangen fick inget bord, då personalen ansåg att de inte hade kapacitet att ta emot oss. Detta tyckte vi var dåligt eftersom vi var hotellgäster och att restaurangen inte ens var halv besatt (när vi 90 min senare lämnade restaurangen, var den bara fylld till 2/3). Efter en del tjat fick vi dock ett bord men med begränsningen att inte beställa någon förrätt. Vi åt en god varmrätt och en helt okej dessert (se bilder). Nästa dag när vi skulle checka ut och samtidigt betala för vår middag i receptionen, hade man slagit på €8 i dricks som vi inte hade själva skrivit på. När vi bad att få se kvitto, fanns den inte, utan i vårt fack låg någon annans kvitto. Turligt nog hade vi tagit kort på gårdagens kvitto, vid bordet. Det hela slutade i en viss förvirring från hotellets sida och att vi fick tillbaka de €8 som de felaktigt precis hade debiterat oss. Rummen tyckte vi var funktionella men sängarna kändes gamla och rummets intryck var gammalmodigt.

Nice get-away in lush green surrounded area great for walking cycling and more. Busy good restaurant with big portions. Wellness area small but cozy,could use a re-decoration though..Rooms neat n clean,fluffy beds and isolated from neighbours. Young team as staff. All in all great experience and highly recommended for a nice short vacation.

several issues here to be addressed: (1) two twin beds with a gap in between is not and should never be advertised as a "king." (2) i asked for a quiet room but was placed on a noisy courtyard with an endlessly slamming service door. (3) because of all the talking & activity outside my window, i was reluctant to open it, even though the room had no air (only heat). (4) although the breakfast was delightful and the service there very good, things were quite different in the evening, when i had to get up twice to find my server and was shocked to be billed almost 100 euro for 4 bar drinks. (5) finally, although the website states dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, they are (this may be a plus for some people but i don't like being growled and barked at). in sum, the room is OK for the price, and the setting is lovely, but with the other issues, I am not likely...

Very nice hotel, away from the noise and hassle of Venlo city. It is located in a very quiet residential area, in a forest that is amazing by itself and extends up until the border with Germany. The service is very nice, the rooms spacious and very clean (room cleaning is done daily). The quiet is the best perk of this place, alongside the pool, sauna, breakfast and very nice view of the lake right in front of the hotel. Overall staff is also nice, responding promptly to guest requests and also being able to provide local tips and food and wine recommendations for dinner. The restaurant has good food and relatively accessible prices, about 15-30 euros depending on your choices. I would recommend it for business travel as well as...

My wife and I had a nice stay, the room was clean and we appreciated the friendly staff. Beautiful area, green and quiet but also not far from the center. We enjoyed the pool and saunas, and the breakfast was generous. The decor was nice and the restaurant was cozy yet stylish.
