We booked the Dua Pod with the Panorama view facing the river (you can call and request for this pod, since there is only one pod with a river view).
Needles to say, the view is amazing! Very zen and romantic for couples. The morning view was very satisfying as well.
Before booking this pod, do consider that there will be boat traffic through out the day. If you want full privacy with the curtains open i would consider the other pods. We had no problems with the “boat traffic” cuz the view is that amazing.
For the first day they offer a welcome dinner, for about €19 p.p, I absolutely don’t recommend that. Not worth the price and taste. It was awful. I couldn’t even go back to take more food because everything was almost finished (and I didn’t even take much food the first time). The variety was so so limited. For Indian food, this was not it. Very disappointing. Also the food is vegetarian, no other options available.
Make sure to bring you own food for the days you’re staying. You can make a fire and grill/cook at location. The pods have a fridge for storage and electricity for charging.
We hired the fatbikes, which was very cool. We loved it. And was very relaxing. We biked the town, which was very beautiful.
The bathrooms are on waking distance from the pods. There is warm water available. Bring bath slippers and a towel! (They don’t give towels to guests).
Overall a cool/nice...
Read moreFor us, it was not worth the price. Generally not well arranged, management should put effort into treating guests accordingly (the house rules are not made clear from the start, the vegan BBQ experience was disastrous as managers were not around to help/give indications, the ice bath was available but it turned out managers didn’t even know how to offer it to guests, they don’t ask you “how was your stay” upon checkout…). Besides, the only fridge in the place is stuffed with food out of date and constantly switched back at the minimum level, resulting in the food getting rotten the next day. Further, he parking place is 15 minutes away walking, which is very inconvenient if you want to use the car often in the same day…as well it’s also unclear where it is.
The yoga lessons are way too relaxed, they were treating a young group as if we were in our 80’s. Especially if these are given in the morning, it makes no sense, as I was literally falling asleep again during the lesson.
My 3 stars go to the place itself, the comfortable beds, and the...
Read moreI loved my 3 days at Rostig, the perfect amount of time to unwind. It was everything I had wanted. The place is very quiet, no party place but rather a relaxing spot. Everything by is beautiful. I brought my own food and was glad I did (you can use a gas stove and pans there), I don’t recommend getting their buffet (although breakfast seemed ok). One thing that wasn’t mentioned is that there is a beautiful bar next the reception with snacks and drinks owned by lovely people. I enjoyed the kayaks and SUPs + daily yoga sessions (if you’re advanced, don’t expect a workout but rather nice relaxation - beware it might be all in Dutch as it seems to be the main guest nationality).
Comments for Rostig: Things to improve: signs to get to the reception (unclear and makes the arrival a bit stressful), pans are all worn out with visible scratches, there was often just one dish soap liquid bottle for 5 sinks, and just a personal preference but there were a lot of webs and while I get we’re in nature, it would be nice to clear them out in the...
