I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this campsite near Zutphen, and I’m thrilled to give it a glowing 5-star review! The family who runs the site is incredibly lovely, welcoming, and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay truly special. The facilities were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and exceeded our expectations for a campsite. The grounds themselves are simply beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning nature, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Despite this serene setting, the campsite is conveniently close to Zutphen, making it easy to explore the town. We loved the Saturday pizza nights, which were a fun and delicious highlight of our week! The ability to rent bikes to head into town was a fantastic touch, making trips both convenient and enjoyable. The farm animals on-site were a delight to watch, especially for families, and the wandering trails leading straight from the campsite were perfect for soaking in the natural surroundings. Wat een heerlijk verblijf hebben wij gehad bij de Heicohoeve! Eind november verbleven wij een weekend in een glamping lodge en bijbehorende groepsruimte. Het was dat weekend erg koud en de lodge ziet er uit als een tent, waardoor we vooraf dachten dat het misschien wat te koud zou zijn. Maar niets was minder waar. De lodges hebben gewoon harde wanden en verwarming en we hebben het binnen geen moment koud gehad, terwijl het buiten vroor. Wij verbleven in een 6-persoons lodge en deze was lekker ruim en mooi ingericht en heeft een leuke ruimte waar kinderen kunnen spelen. Omdat wij met een grotere groep waren, was het heel fijn dat er een mooie gezamelijke groepsruimte was, zodat we lekker bij elkaar konden zitten en samen konden eten.We hadden er ook een hottub bij en dat was echt fantastisch! Heerlijk in de koude buitenlucht in het hete water naar de sterren kijken. Een ander hoogtepunt vonden wij pizza's bakken in de houtgestookte pizza oven. Erg lekker en heel leuk om te doen! De beheerders zijn gastvrij en vriendelijk en er zijn veel leuke dieren. Vooral de mini-ezels waren bij onze kinderen favoriet. We visited Sept 24. Pitches for motorhomes were fine. Payment for EHU worked ok for us. Saturday night was home made pizza night, tasty and topped to our own choice.
