Whangaparaoa Beach has toilet facilities and shelter for picnics. At low tide you have to walk far to get into the water. The ground is well maintained but sheep poo is found nearly everywhere. You do not have to pay to enter the beach. We don't know if we have to pay to camp here. My friend caught a few big fish at the beach. I wish there were some trees for shelter since during summer it is very hot.

Passed by here on a visit to GBI. Plenty of space with a couple of toilets and a couple of cold showers. Quite exposed to the easterly winds but nice enough area.

Great location campsite on the estuary and a ten minute walk across it to the ocean beach at low tide. Very beautiful spot looking out to sea and the beach itself is awesome. Std Great Barrier campsite, shelter with water & cold water basin, cold shower2, toilet2, pretty basic but...

Great little camp ground. Very clean new toilets. Running water. Plenty of room but lots of rabbit holes so pick your site. Exposed to the weather so not so pleasant on a windy day as little...
