Kaituna Homestead — Hotel in Banks Peninsula Community

Incredible place, amazing hosts. After 3 weeks of traveling in New Zealand staying a night or two at many nice places, our stay at Kaituna Homestay was our TOP choice! First, this incredible home is located in a heaven of peaceful nature. We could enjoy the amazing garden and walks, the jacuzzi outside, and the cute animals all around. The room is huge and super comfortable, like a hotel suite. Second, Sharon and John are wonderful and caring hosts, we felt like at home. The breakfast was delicious and better than in restaurants. Such a beautiful spot, the hosts went out of their way to cater to our needs and even made a lovely dinner and cake for my husband's birthday. Lovely luxury room with a huge bed, awesome views to the animals and the valley, great bath. Little snacks and coffee and breakfast included, all amazing. We were doing the Te Ara Pataka trail after we left and that breakfast was enough to keep us full for a whole day of hiking! We were a party of four (two couples) that spent a night here to celebrate my birthday. The homestead has two large suites which suited us perfectly and each had an adjoining sunroom. The rooms were beautifully presented and included special extra touches such as home baking and fruit. There are scenic views around the homestead and the grounds are well maintained.
