Lodore Lodge — Hotel in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

This Lodge is Luxury Plus. Lou is a remarkable host, always looking for little ways to provide something extra. Both the East and West wings are wonderful and well equipped for thoughtful comfort. The pool and spa are beautiful. We didn’t have great weather but suggestions on places to visit allowed for warm and sunny adventures . Cape Reinga was an easy full day trip and so too was the visit much closer to home to Opononi and the Kauri forest. We would recommend Ake Ake winery for a delicious meal. Lou also provided her bbq option on one of our nights and this was a real treat. So many things to do and see close by with Keri Keri, Paihia and Waitangi so close. Great friends in the other Wing made for a wonderful holiday. Many thanks to Lou and Norm - I’m sure we will see you again!...

We had a great time at Lodore Lodge. When we arrived Louise was waiting for us and made everything for us to feel at home. |Our suite was huge and impecable. She recommended a great restaurant for dinner Next day we were surprised for the delicious breakfast. The breakfast table was perfect. We went to visit the bay of islands but we were sorry for leaving “our house” |We decided not to go out for dinner for the remaining days. We had it in our terrace quiet and relax |We will never forget our stay at Lodore and all the help we got from Louise . Our stay at Lodore lodge was amazing!! I spent my 25th Birthday here and our host Louise made our stay so special and personalised. The room was beautiful and had all you needed for a relaxing stay! It had such Luxurious touches and being able to enjoy a glass of wine in the Jacuzzi was wonderful! Our host Louise couldn't of been more lovely, she gave us excellent advice about holidaying in the area and treated us with kindness and warmth.
