From the moment we arrived at The Meadows Villa, we were enveloped in a sense of calm unlike any other. The rural setting, with its lush gardens and tranquil surroundings, offered a peaceful retreat that felt worlds away from the everyday. Inside, the villa exuded warmth and charm, combining homely comforts with tasteful touches and thoughtful details. Judy and Bruce welcomed us with such genuine hospitality—it truly felt like visiting dear friends, yet with all the privacy and comfort of home. What made our stay even more special was how warmly our family dog was accommodated. With plenty of secure space to roam, fresh water bowls provided, and safe walking areas nearby, The Meadows truly goes the extra mile to make pets feel at home too. Whether enjoying morning birdsong over tea or watching our dog happily explore the grounds, every moment was restful and memorable. A truly...

The two bedroomed villa was clean, tidy, and spacious. There was a dedicated parking garage for the car and a washer/dryer in the garage. Unfortunately, there was no privacy and the owners were somewhat intrusive — there was a connecting door to the main house and it couldn’t be locked from our side and another entrance through the garage and that wasn’t lockable either. The owners entered the unit when we were away during the stay (and without our prior permission/knowledge). There was no reason for them to enter the unit at all; in fact, it was kind of creepy that they would wait till we were away to enter the unit. We were given a very long introduction of rules and regulations and what their animals eat and drink (this is not what we want to hear after a very long/tiring day). I doubt any of us would want to...

The entrace has no key and no lock. So the host can enter anytime and actually we saw signs that they enter when we were away. (We believe that the purpose of ontering unit was to turn off the electricity that we were using. ) We did't feel that we enjoy our privacy. I believe that it won't cost a lot of money to put a lock on the entrance door.

Also the breakfast they provided was expired. We should have taken pictures, but cereal they provided was expired more than 2 years ago. We do not deserve to eat leftover.

The unit was not so clean when we checked in. There was empty beer bottles at the side of the sofa and dishes and glasses were not so clean. My wife ended up in cleaning drawers too.

This unit should not be losted as a hotel. More like a...

Quiet, comfortable, and private. Hosted by Judy and Bruce, who were so welcoming and pleasant, the accomodation is joined to part of their larger property but completely private. It includes a garage for your vehicle, too. The gardens are exquisite, and we left with some ideas for our own garden back in the UK. This was our first stop after flying in for a long NZ tour, and it was the perfect place to stay and get over the long flight before moving on. Highly recommended.
