Bendigo Cabins — Hotel in Cromwell Community

First impressions last and these two little cabins made a great first impression. We stayed at the Bendigo cabins for my wife’s birthday in August 2019. Driving through the Bendigo station you catch glimpses of these cabins in the hills, slowly revealing themselves. They were practically brand new when we stayed, but already looked settled in their site and made beautiful silhouettes on the landscape.

The cabin consisted of a sitting area with wood burner, a kitchenette with small sink, bar fridge and a toaster. A bathroom and raised sleeping area off the sitting. There was milk, butter and fruit in the fridge. Cereal, peanut butter, and marshmallows on the shelf! All you need for a breaky on your deck overlooking the station in the morning.

Richie was a great, considerate host. Left you to your own devices, whilst only a call or message away. He had great recommendations for dinner out, Bannockburn Hotel. And if you’re feeling fancy the Cloudy Bay Shed at Northburn Station is only 10-15 mins away by car. The access road was easy and well maintained.

We stayed in the whitewashed ply Pisa cabin and loved it. It’s the last one on the driveway and felt very private.

Beautiful Cabin. I booked for my partners 30th birthday, I was allowed to sneak in earlier to decorate and it was just stunning. We had a great time, the outside bath with the view is just so relaxing! We went to Bannockburn hotel for a delicious late lunch and wine, then had a cheese board for a snack later on as no cooking facilities in the actual cabin which worked out really well! Loved waking up to this view in the morning✨ Great location to switch off from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the best features of the cabin is the outdoor tub. 👌🏼

The cabin was equipped with fan and heater, clean bathroom and kitchenette. Although, I wish the kitchenette (at least) included a small microwave given there are no cooking facilities.
