The apartment itself was lovely and the bathroom was to die for, excellent shower, but the whole unit itself with its "Kitchenette" was a lie. We booked to stay here for three nights with the intention to cook as dining out is too expensive. We got upstairs to find a good sized bench, sink etc to our room (Upstairs as requested), only to find that there was no stove top as you could see in the photos but assumed there would be one in the cupboards but NO, there wasn't one. We rang the office to ask if we could use our portable cooker and frying pan but was told NO, have to use the kitchen!! Not ideal at all. Fortunately we had our sandwich press with us and premade burger patties so did them for our first night in the press, then cooked breakfast the same in the morning and just reheated in the microwave, second night we had fish n chips with our Nephews at theirs, then on the last night we went out for the day so I set up the Crockpot. So if you intend to stay here the unit is awesome but be prepared that you cant cook unless you take...
Read moreBook here, we were paying $429 per night for a hotel room which was nowhere near as modern.
Tiffany is lovely also very perceptive, I arrived as she was preparing to show another guest around the facilities, I was trying to hide my tiredness but she seen it and sped me through check-in which is what I needed.
Staff are beautiful people, friendly, interactive very personable.
Facilities are perfect! Rooms are tidy, well furnished, kitchenette is actually equipped for you to warm up and plate meals, bigger than normal fridge, aircon, heated bathroom floor and towel rail as well as a sensor for the extractor fan and a safety guide light which illuminates the floor.
There’s a whole kitchen, dining area and laundry.
This is a truck stop but not a gross one, it looks and feels like a hotel but so much cheaper.
Can’t recommend this place more and honestly cannot praise the owners or their staff enough.
Stay here, if you’re doing anything within 30km’s then this is where you...
Read moreWe arrived after almost a full day of driving from Christchurch. Tiffany greeted us and was cheerful and friendly. Check in was easy. Harvest Park Studios is relatively new and it can be seen in the design, rooms, and utilities. If you forgot to pack something in your picnic basket, unless it’s food, they most likely have it so you can cook, grill or bake anything. We had a second floor room and it also had its own mini kitchen, also relatively equipped so you would not have to go down for breakfast if you brought your own food and coffee. The bathroom is new,l with a sleek design and heater. Supermarket nearby and a great stopover for a night to rest. Awesome place,...
