Loch Vista Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Fiordland Community

Loch Vista Villa is about a 5 minute drive from central Te Anau. It situated on a hill with a fabulous view of the lake and surrounding mountains. We did a tour of the Milford Sound and the tour company picked us up at Loch Vista, super convenient. The owner, Phil, is a great host. This is a traditional B&B, you're in a house with other guests, sharing breakfast at the table, etc. If you don't want to interact with anyone, then this is not the place for you. It is very clean and comfortable, although we were there approaching winter and it was a bit cool in our room - but there was a space heater provided. Each room has it's own television and you can get Netflix. The main lounge has a nice wood burning stove. The continental breakfast was very nice. There is tea/coffee available whenever you want it. Our room's only view overlooked the parking lot and we had to close the curtains on the small room to get privacy from cars and people arriving. No refrigerator in the room, need to use shared refrigerator in garage. No air-conditioning and it was very hot when we were there. It's a room in a house so the shared space of living room and dining room had nice views. Breakfast was cereal, a small amount of fruit, yogurt, toast, tea or coffee. The host Phil is very welcoming and has great suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. It seems the other rooms to rent might have had more privacy and better views than ours, so you might want to enquire which room you're getting since it will greatly affect...
