This was our favorite site. nice and relaxed and very beautiful, 50m from the river. we could build a fire in the designated spot(s) which was epic! a friendly DOC guy came to say hi, cheers to DOC. beautiful walking up and making coffee under the mountains while the sun comes up. site only has one dry toilet but plenty of space

Another great campsite or pinic area, as i said earlier if your on your way to Milford sound there is plenty of choice.  Easy drive and very peaceful with beautiful birdsong. A lot of campsites available here. Have a look at my pics for current pricing per person.

This would have been a 5/5 review if it weren’t for the mice. My partner and I woke up at 2am to the sound of mice in and around our car. We didn’t see them, but the rustling and scrabbling (and the idea of having a mouse in our car), kept us awake all night. We might have been unlucky, and perhaps if you’re in a tent this is less likely to happen. Otherwise, a beautiful sight in a great location, fairly clean toilet. Good...
