Paparoa Point Rest Area — Hotel in Kaikōura

It's a great place to visit while traveling the coast. Lots of parking and some parks are for busses too. The car parks are just off SH1 so it's quite safe. Awesome spot, with picnic tables to pull over and rest. The views are spectacular. The baby seals were playing in a reef.

Seal pups should be left undisturbed, they are using a lot of precious calories if they are chased or scared into the water.
