Beautiful spot and fully booked around New Years. 6kms off the main road and surrounded by bush and farmland. On either side of the campground are endangered Dotterell nesting sites which are prone to disturbance from beach goers unaware of their existence. There are DOC signs but fencing is probably needed to protect them. The camp is well equipped with essential goods and services....

Wow what can I say about Anaura Bay! Incredible! We traveled the whole East Cape and this was the best placed we stayed. Just feet from the water. Awesome sunrises in the morning. Great swiming. No cell phone reception there. About the only downside is the water is from tanks and needs to be boiled... that said it looked like...
