We had an amazing 2-night stay at this wonderful farm! The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had all the essential toiletries. The house itself is absolutely charming, full of character and warmth. Our kids had the time of their lives feeding the sheep - it was such a special experience for them. The breakfasts were delicious, with a variety of fresh fruits and tasty pastries. A huge thank you to Lisa and Anthony for their warm hospitality and thoughtful care!

We stayed at the Black Sheep Farm for two nights and loved it. Anthony and Lisa are very kind and lovely hosts. They‘re home feels like your home. The room was big and everything was clean. The breakfast is fantastic and the backyard is a hidden gem. It was one of our highlights in New Zealand!

We stayed here for 2 nights late March and loved the place & the entire area so much. I chose Blacksheep Farm as it was high quality in its B&B sector & its reviews were great. We enjoyed our stay & it's super attentive hosts & the breakfasts were great.

We stayed at Black Sheep farm in mid February, we booked for 2 nights but after the first night we decided to stay an extra night. We then went up north and on the way back we booked for another night as we enjoyed the farm so much. The farm is situated about half way between Langs beach and Waipu Cove, I walked to both easily although it is uphill on the way back. They are both lovely beaches. We had a really lovely sunny room, quite large with its own ensuite which was very modern and beautifully tiled. We had many windows looking out over the farm and out to sea, our room got morning sun which was lovely. The hosts are really genuine friendly people, and as a bonus they have two lovely daughters who play a baby grand piano most evenings, which is very relaxing to have live music in the house. The hosts invite you to share a glass of wine with them in the evenings where you get to know them better. In the mornings they serve up a very tasty continental breakfast with fresh baking, so you are all set for the day ahead. Down in Waipu Cove there is a great restaurant which we used most days, it has a lovely view over the beach. All in All a great place to stay with very friendly people. Would we go back, well we...

We stayed one night at Black Sheep Farm on our Northland road trip and wish we had booked to stay longer! Lisa & Anthony were absolutely wonderful hosts, welcomed us like family and couldn't have done more to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We were offered tea and cake on arrival, a glass of local wine as we relaxed in the lounge in the evening and enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning of croissants, jams, muesli, yoghurt and fruit. There are loads of travel books (amongst others!) to get lost in, however Lisa & Anthony are also great for a chat about New Zealand and the rest of the world! Our room was beautiful with wooden beams across the high ceiling, a lovely balcony overlooking the luscious green land, an en-suite bathroom and an incredbily comfortable bed. We just wish we'd had better weather to enjoy the surrounding area more and meet their sheep, which graze right outside their property. Absolutely lovely stay and we are very grateful to Lisa & Anthony for their kindness and...

Wow, what a wonderful retreat, a breath of fresh air set In world of tranquility, mirrored by the the the owners, who are adept congenial hosts. Anthony, Lisa and family are genuine hospitality people, caring for every whim of their guests. The prperty setting is on a low ridge overlooking the sea set in an almost nature reserve. Once you enter the property off the road, and drive up the private road to the farmhouse estate, beside the paddocks of black sheep, you know you've made the right, choice. The whole experience is not to be missed especially the locally sourced food, cooked by and prepared by the whole family who are all formidable chefs, a joy, we can recommend this experience to the...
