Eagle Ridge — Hotel in North Island

We got married in December last year and had the most magical day! Despite the rain and wind, everything turned out better than we dreamed. Leading up to our wedding day, Nicole was absolutely incredible at communicating with us, giving us advice and guiding us through the journey of planning a wedding! Could not have done it without her help! Eagle ridge was so accommodating and easy to work with. The owners were lovely too! There were times of miscommunication but everything was sorted and accommodated too. The team at Eagle Ridge added so many extra touches that made it feel extra special. The day of the wedding it was raining as the bridal party arrived. This was highly stressful due to the outside wedding we had planned. Briana was our event coordinator for the day and she was also amazing. I was a bit of a mess about the rain but the team were so accommodating and moved everything in case we changed our mind and had the ceremony inside. They were even willing to bring the arch inside for me! The team was what every bride dreams of. They were organised and willing to do whatever it was to accommodate us. We ended up having it outside and the rain cleared, but it was so appreciated how the looked after us and our guests! The venue itself is absolutely stunning and showcases New Zealand beautifully. "From the moment we arrived at Eagle Ridge to have a look around we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The panaromic views are absolutely breath taking and Deborah had such a lovely welcoming nature. What really sold us was the views of the Mount from afar and the beautiful accommodation option they have (The Homestead). Deborah and Tanya were amazing and were so easy to communicate with, nothing was ever to hard and they were always open to work around your ideas. They made the whole wedding planning job so easy with lists of regular vendors couples use and lots of recommendations along with a variety of decor items you can use at your reception. They have some great outdoor lawn games you can use to entertain guests while your having photos and the golf hole in one they have was an absolute hit! They have an on-site catering team who have a variety of menus you can choose from and the food was divine! All of our family and friends complemented how beautiful the venue and food was. It is honestly so hard to put into words how incredibly grateful Russell and I are for all of your help leading up to and on our big day in March 22nd. They said that planning a wedding is meant to be one of the most stressful things that you can do – but thanks to you guys we had an absolute blast. Having Kirsten’s extensive knowledge and ability to push us when it was needed whilst also letting us visit to measure the function room and put up props the day before meant that we could create the wedding of our dreams. We are so appreciative to everyone who worked hard behind the scenes and of course to Deb and Nigel for letting us try something different. Us girls loved being able to have the flexibility to wind down and stay at the lodge the night before, making it a breeze to get ready the next day.
