Fletchers Bay, what a beauitful camp site, northern most camp site on the Eastern Road along the coromandel.

Amazing fishing of a boat or kayak.

It's a pack in pack out site so no rubbish disposal. Cold showers, long drops, water but needs to be boiled. Amazing views.

The road out is a bit rough compared to the other side gravel for the most part of a hour plus, roads narrow quite a bit and idots seem to think its OK to drive down the middle of the road around corners. There is a couple of water crossings towards the end near port Jackson and onwards to fletchers bay. Maybe not the best choice for a every day car if its been raining.

But a amazing little spot to spend a...

My husband and I spent two nights returning hpme 28/01/2019. The campsite was just awesome. People were easy going, friendly. It was not a burden without power. We slept in the back of our SUV, and went to sleep looking at a very starry sky and a beautiful view of the sea. It didn't get dark until late. There are some big walks you can go on. There was tap water, we were happy awith our small easy to carry bbq, a little table and s $30 gazebo. There are great walks, The amenities are clean probably cleaner than most public toilets I've seen.

Judy who booked us in because the online booking was on the blink was very helpful and...

Drove to Fletchers bay for the long weekend. We stayed in zone 3 which is closest to the beach as you can get unless zone 2 is avail, but normally just for day cars and boats. Beautiful stone/sand beach with blue water! Did a really cool hike to Stoney Bay and back - it is a long way so be prepared with water and snacks. Beautiful lookout about 2/3 of the way there you could turn around at for a shorter return trip! Highly recommend. Very remote get all supplies before as closest shops are at hour away on...

Fantastic place to get away from the hustle and bustle of typical New Zealand (summer can be very busy, must book campsites ahead). Many activities for the whole family including fishing, diving and snorkelling, mountain biking and hiking, including the idyllic Costal Walkway. Cold showers and running water available. Well priced.
