Fountain Court Motel — Hotel in North Island

We stayed in this property as we had a family wedding nearby. Thankfully it was only one night as the place is probably the worst motel I have had the misfortune to stay in.|First impression was the property is extremely tired and badly in need of a facelift and unfortunately that’s as good as it got. Paintwork was chipped stained and scratched throughout. The carpet was threadbare throughout. The windows were in need of a clean. The bathroom was extremely tatty and the shower had damaged walls and tray. The hot water took an absolute age to come through and water pressure in the shower was abysmal. In short the place was a dump.|The bad linen was clean and the beds were comfortable. The views across the estuary were lovely but distorted by the dirty windows.|It seemed the property was being used as emergency accomodation by WINZ clients which didn’t assist in the general demeanour of the property. |If I could have given it a score of less than one I would have. |LOOK...

Stay would have been a 10/10 the price was amazing the service was outstanding the room was very spacious and cosy and the bed was comfortable toilet and bathroom were very clean and stocked up with necessities, only down fall were the amount of cockroach’s counted 16 cockroach’s varying in different sizes killed 8 in total wouldn’t have had a problem if there was one or two but when there crawling all over the walls and in the bed something has to be said ☹️ if the roach infestation gets sorted you have a 10/10 hotel that I would definitely recommend...

Well what can we say.... we still have two nights here and we seriously feel like going home. The water pressure in the shower makes you feel like you can't use soap cause it will not come off. There are cobwebs all through the room, I had to wash all the dishes so they were actually clean. One of the windows in the room you can close so the room is not secure. The blind on the front door is half a meter short, God knows when the carpet was last cleaned. Would love to ask for our money back for the next two nights but I know we won't get it. ...
