Hilltop Whakaipo Estate — Hotel in North Island

Absolutely a dream place to be. Such loving hosts. Michelle and Peter definitely made us feel at home. The deer were thrilling to feed along with the baby bambee whom name is Molly. The adorable 2 dogs Bear and Meg were always delightful to be around filled us of such energy. The food they provided was restaurant quality 😍❤️ We had an absolute blast playing pool and table tennis with our hosts. Our room was perfect for my partner and I with a awesome double shower and ginormous comfy bed 👏 I also did pottery with Michelle who is an awesome teacher in my eyes. If you are wanting the true farm lifestyle experience you would not regret, then head to them for your stay. Lake is only 5 minutes away. Loved everything about our stay you guys we miss...

Peter and Michelle welcomed us in their home so warmly, together with their beautiful Labs, Bear, Meg and Jessie - that we had a hard time leaving the estate on our last day! They are the perfect hosts, thoughtful and easy-going. The view over the rolling hills and lake Taupo is fantastic, especially at sunset, and we enjoyed spending the evenings on the outside bench, playing with the dogs and taking in the view. Breakfast was also amazing, prepared every morning by Michelle with fresh produce. We also had the chance to see the deer up close! What a nice stay! Michelle is a great host. The B&B is beautifully located 15 minutes outside Taupo on the hill with great views of the mountains and lake. A quiet hidden gem. Excellent room, with everything you need. Breakfast is served in the living room and you can see that the owners used to have a cafe. Perfect Eggs Benedict and plenty of other choices. Homemade bread. The owners join you for a coffee at breakfast and so you learn a lot about the region.|The have several animals on site including 3 lovely dogs and you can feed the deer if you want.
