Lake Maraetai Lodge — Hotel in North Island

Whether you cycle here or arrive by vehicle, Lake Maraetai Lodge provides fabulous accommodation in a superb location. We rode here and both us and our bicycles arrived dripping wet as a result of the torrential rain. The welcome from the owner however, could not have been warmer and immediately cheered us up! Our bikes were safely stored inside. If you ride electric, we noticed that there were charging points provided. There are many other nice touches such as a couple of track pumps and a bike washing point, for guests to be able to use. A great place to stay in Mangakino to explore the local area, or as a stop gap on a road trip. This place has had a complete overhaul recently - all the rooms and shared facilities are brand new and sparkling clean. They consider they had a booking for 6 rooms confirmed 2 weeks ago and your claim, at last minute, to being able to supply only one of the rooms is farcical.
