Lake Vista Lodge — Hotel in North Island

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is at Acacia Bay, away from the tourists hustle and bustle, it is about 15-20 min away from the Taupo town Centre by car. |We have booked a detached kingsize bedroom lodge overlooking the lake. View is breathtaking. Specially during sunset, if you look at the direction of the Taupo town Centre. |Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted firstly by Greg and later Lisa, and their 2 cute doggos. Love the modern lodge with wide glass windows, a nicely decorated room. Comfortable bed, a little sitting corner which is our favorite spot in the room for breakfast and to enjoy the 180° view, a little kitchenette behind the bed separated by a floor to ceiling closet. Which is well equipped with Nespresso coffeemaker, toaster, fridge, vacuum cleaner, pot and pans, etc) . Bathroom is spacious, with shower soap and shampoo are being provided, it would be a better choice if they are from any ecological or sustainable brands. The large area of outdoor sitting terrace, which is bordered by the lovely garden, is a big plus. ||There is a washing room, although we didn’t use it. Again another plus point. ||We definitely recommend this lodge to any other travelers who are travelling around Lake Taupo. Amazing lake view that is unbeatable, with stunning grounds, incredibly friendly and warm hosts who clearly love their property. We cannot wait to come back and would stay here in a heartbeat! The view was exceptional and stunning from the lake view room. The hosts were so friendly and warm, and their hospitality really made the place special. The grounds and plants are spectacular, you can tell the hosts really pour their heart and soul into the place and that is unmatched in other places in which we stayed. The Lake Vista Lodge should be rated the number one B&B in Taupo! The accommodations are stunning! The lake views are amazing and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with tips for things to see and do in the area and they provided us with a cooler and ice for a picnic. They have a washer and dryer on the premises. Anyone who loves gardens will fall in love with the gardens here. We were happy to pic fresh blueberries there each morning. We had a nice, fully stocked kitchen. What can I say we...
