Lupin Lodge Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in North Island

I stayed here with my son and my small dog on Easter weekend but the host Lorene made me feel uncomfortable and was very rude not only to me but also to my 10 year old son which she kept calling him the wrong name all weekend. She was passive aggressive and I didn't even feel welcome using the shared kitchen or living room. The photos of the breakfast on Google are different than what I had received in person. I was expecting the room to be vacuumed everyday and bedding changed but it wasnt and it was very outdated like from the 1980's. Not only this but she also made it obvious she didn't like that I had dressed my dog in warm clothes as she gets cold and shakes but then after making rude remarks "OMG" she then takes a photo of my dog and says she will send it to a family member while smirking. She claims beforehand all her animals on the property is friendly then throughout the stay say her animals might attack my toy poodle because my toy poodle doesn't know how to stand up for itself and is quite small I was treated badly not equally. As a guest I should be treated well but the other guests she treated as a VIP. It's very strange so I had every reason to complain and now she won't stop harassing me. It's better to have stayed home rather than wasting my money being treated like this. It was not only me that was treated poorly but also my child. I have contacted booking.com about...

Lorene driver detta stället och hon är enastående. Vilken service! Hon körde oss hela vägen till Taupo en kväll så vi slapp taxikostnaden. Hennes frukost är grandios. Rummet var fint och rent, sängen superbekväm, vi hade eget badrum. Hon känner området och hjälper gärna till med dagens planering. Man bor i samma villa som Lorene men det är ok att fixa t. ex. lunchmacka i köket eller koka vatten för cupnudels eller te. Vi fick också tvätta kläder vilket var mycket uppskattat. Man känner sig verkligen välkommen och hemma hos Lorene!...
