We recently had the pleasure of staying here and I must say, it exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Seaview apartment and the view was absolutely stunning. The apartment itself was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. While the park may be older, for a small farming town, the facilities were well-maintained and the grounds were immaculate. The playground may be older as well, but it had a certain charm that newer ones often lack. The kids had a blast pretending to fish and play pirates on the little boat! One of the standout aspects of our stay was the impeccable service provided by Mereana, our amazing host. She appeared to be the only staff member on site and yet she managed to handle everything with grace and efficiency. From running the office, to taking bookings, to cleaning rooms, she was here, there, and everywhere. Despite being so busy, she always had a smile on her face and a cheerful demeanor. Mereana went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Our little one absolutely adored her and it was evident that she genuinely cares about her guests. We can't thank her enough for her incredible hospitality, especially considering we didn't book in advance, she looked after us and made sure we always had everything we needed. Overall, our experience at Mahia Beach Holiday Park was nothing short of exceptional. The stunning view, well-maintained room, and the attentive service from Mereana made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this holiday park to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Great view. Roomy unit. But some serious issues. Such as exposed wiring and open fuse box in kitchen, dirty cutlery and plates. Dirty outdoor table. Bedroom wall light not working properly. And the only two light bulbs in the lounge area not working. Had to wait nearly an hour for lights to be fixed. With no apologies at all. Plus there were major renovations with noise and dust going on downstairs. Also only one extra duvet but 3 beds. Can not recommend...unit 5, seaview self contained.

We had a great time and was very welcomed ! It was slow but the lovely couple made such an effort to make us welcome and tell us about the fishing spot.. the kids had a blast and we wish we did bring the dogs in the end. The pet cats were a highlight and sharky boy was well feed :) Only recommendation was to increase the water pressure a bit in the shower . It became a bit cold standing there in the winter. We will be back.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mahia Beach Resort with our kids - it exceeded our expectations in every way!

The resort has fantastic facilities and would cater to all types of travelers. The resort is well-maintained, and there are plenty of lounge chairs available for relaxing in the sun.

Additionally, the onsite café offered a variety of small bites. Our kids loved the pies, whilst us adults enjoyed the coffee! The ice cream was delicious and perfect to walk to the beach with.

The resort is located directly across from the beach and offers stunning ocean views with easy access to the sandy shores. Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll along the beach or engage in water sports, the location is ideal. The sunsets from the beach are absolutely breathtaking!

One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The team went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable (Thank you for remembering it was one of our birthdays!) They were always available to assist with any requests and provided great recommendations for local attractions.

We have stayed previously with friends and noted that the resort has recently undergone renovations, and it shows! The modern design and updated amenities create a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with all the necessary conveniences - making it a perfect home away from home.

Overall, our experience at the Mahia Beach Resort was fantastic! With its great facilities, play ground for the kids, prime location, wonderful staff, and recent renovations, we would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway.

We can't wait to return! Thank you for having us!!

We were in a fully self contained campervan and the park had less than a handful of other caravans and campervans there, so very quiet and slightly out of season. We have stayed here before and always enjoyed the great location and fair price BUT NOW the cost has hiked up under new owners and they are also imposing a high charge per pet per night!! I had phoned earlier and was not informed of this new high pet rate or that the main toilet/shower block was not accessible. The campsite was quiet so we had a choice of sites - great. The camp roading still had lots of potholes - not great. The kitchen was well equipped but not clean - not great. The main toilet/shower block was being painted and unavailable, so used another block on site, but these were tired, not very clean and in need of a good overhaul - not great. One day there was a strong sewage smell which was definitely from near the camp kitchen area, so not pleasant - not great. Service was not wonderful as pet fee information had not been given in advance, and they had a "take it or leave it" attitude as it is the only camp there (unless freedom camping) and we required power - not great. The cost was excessive, we have two dogs so $40 per night for the two animals when they were in self contained vehicle, under leash at all times, not using shower, toilet or kitchen facilities in a very empty campground...can't see how they justify this high rate. Overall, we will not use this...
