Our family group had an amazing stay at Mangarara to see in 2020.||You will be hard pressed to find a more natural, homely, comforting getaway in such a private and exclusive location.||The Lake outlook is breathtaking from sunrise to sunset and during this time all is peaceful and quiet. The water, island, hills and wildlife offer a serenity that is second to none. Watching one of the Lake Swans take off towards us on the kayaks was a true highlight of the trip. ||The interior decor from the showers to the fireplace feature wall and the recycling of materials throughout give the lodge a heart and character, adding to the relaxing vibration Mangarara has. The kitchen and cooking facilities are ample to cater for an army and the bedrooms warm with lake views from your pillow.||Rachel and Greg are amazing hosts, so passionate about their land and only too willing to share and have you enjoy it. The farm tours were an added bonus too, a hit with the kids and the adults in our group.||||This hidden gem is the epitome of a rural paradise and even a short stay here is refreshing for the soul.||||Thanks again Mangarara, see...

Read moreWe had an amazing experience staying at Mangarara Eco-Lodge. We had the rooms at full capacity with whānau from outside Hawkes Bay staying, and we also used the Lodge as a base for our extended family from CHB to come for meals and to hang out all day. We loved the lake views and the peacefulness. The tamariki had heaps of fun on the kayaks and with all the lawn games. They also loved the chance to go out on the farm and feed the pigs. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living areas were excellent for a large group. The bathrooms had plenty of shower and toilet facilities for all the guests to use. The kitchen was especially roomy and very well-equipped, so we were able to cater easily for the large group of people (including 42 people on one day for a special birthday lunch.) Our hosts were friendly, positive and accommodating. Our whānau wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mangarara Eco-Lodge to others, and would definitely stay...
