Our cycle tour group nearly fell off their bikes when we arrived at Maungaraupi. We knew this homestead was going to be special - but is an understatement to say the place is impressive. Oh the views!

Furthermore, we discovered the new owners had only shifted in 3 days earlier, and were still orientating themselves with the property. In spite of this, their knowledge and willingness to answer all of our questions (there were plenty) was extraordinary.

Our group was warmly received and enjoyed an impressive meal - they were touched by the gesture of a bottle of sparkles for our "birthday boy".

Maungaraupi is the kind of place you feel very lucky to have shared with the owners and your friends, We will be back with groups...
