Minfford Cottage — Hotel in North Island

This is a truly wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing. The spotlessly clean cottage is newly refurbished and spotlessly clean, and can sleep four people in absolute comfort. The location is close enough to Fielding to make a trip to town feasible without being a mission, and far enough away for the cottage to have a truly country feel about it. The alpacas give the place a slightly out-of this world feeling, and apart from the one who wouldn’t stop staring at me, are very easy to get on with. The management of the farm is totally unobtrusive, in fact the only time we saw them was on checking in and checking out. I also thought the enquiry about the colour of the bread and milk we preferred, (when we booked on line) showed that the hosts have a real feeling for this enterprise. Could not recommend Minffordd cottage more. Its a reasonably modern small house and completely self contained, 2 rooms with a queen bed in one and 2 singles in the other. Clean and tidy, with the makings of continental breakfast included. Its only just out of fielding, and modestly priced so ideal for a variety of travellers needs. Spent the morning after breakfast meeting the owners and the alpacas, including a coupe of baby ones, which was very interesting. If you dont like Alpacas im sure they wont mind thou. Great accommodation, such a warm welcome and so peaceful. I have to use Palmerston North as a service town, due to living so far from a major centre. I think I’ve just found my mo-to space when I need to stop over!||The space was so clean and tidy. Everything I needed and more. The shower is amazing!!!!
